Albert Beverage, 86

Albert Jeremiah Beverage, 86, of Monterey, VA, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Bath Community Hospital.

Mr. Beverage was born May 18, 1922, in Monterey, VA, and was the son of the late Isaac Luther and Clara Hester Seybert Beverage.

He was a livestock farmer. He was a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.

Surviving are three brothers, Nicholas Beverage of Monterey, VA., Dr. John Harmon Beverage of Nashville, TN, and Charles Byron Beverage of Richmond, VA; a sister, Lucinda Hiner Beverage of Monterey, VA; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The Rev. Derek Tomek will conduct a graveside funeral Saturday in the Monterey Cemetery.

Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, VA was in charge of funeral arrangements.
