Christopher Harper

Christopher Paul Harper, 42, of Riverton died Friday, June 11, 2004, at his home. 

Mr. Harper ws born Nov. 13, 1961, in Harrisonburg, VA, and was the son of Kenneth P. and Loretta Jane Judy Harper of Seneca Rocks. 

He had been employed at Dominion Power Co. in Mount Storm since 1981 and was a journeyman and mechanic.  He graduated from Circleville High School in 1980 and ws a member of the Cabins Assembly of God.  

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Teresa Hedrick Harper; a son, Josh of riverton; and a sister, Cindy Kisamore of Riverton. 

The Revs. Steve Landis and Mark McAllister conducted the funeral Monday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg.  Burial was at North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.  

Memorial donations may be made to the Chris Harper family, c/o Teresa Harper, Riverton, WV, or the Pendleton County Rescue Squad.

Bennie L. Bennett, 41

Bennie L. Bennett, 41, of Rockville, IN, died June 8, 2004, in Rockville, IN. 

Mr. Bennett was born Aug. 2, 1962, in Clinton, IN and was the son Shirley Raub Bennett and the late Lunova "Nuwt" Bennett. 

He graduated from Turkey Run High School in Marshall, IN, in 1980 and was a logger and timber buyer. 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters Kristy Bennett of Clinton, IN and  Lorissa Moore of Columbus, IN; a sister, Brenda Godsey of Holiday, FL; his grandmother, Annie Bennett Kisamore of Cherry Grove and two grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Bennett-Judy Cemetery in Cherry Grove.  

Arrangements are by the Kimble Funeral Home, Franklin.   

Curtis W. Wilburn, 78

Curtis Wilkerson Wilburn, 78, of Trenholm, VA, died Friday, June 11, 2004. 

Mr. Wilburn was born may 1, 1926, in Powhatan, VA, and was the son of the late Emmett Julian and Alma Blanche Wilburn.  

He retired from Frank Notts Scrap Yard in Richmond, VA, and was an accomplished trapper.  He was a member of the Muddy Creek Baptist Church, Powhatan Moose Lodge 1840, and the Virginia Trappers Association.  He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Shalee Wilburn of Franklin; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Greg Budnik of Springfield, VA; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by one brother, Claiborne Wilburn of Richmond, VA.  

The Revs. Leonard Vimpeny and David Fisher conducted the funeral Monday at Muddy Creek Baptist Church, Trenholm, VA.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

Bennett and Barden Funeral Home in Powhatan, VA, were in charge of the funeral arrangements.
