Sadie Bullock

Sadie Frances Lambert (Conn) Bullock, 81, of Arbovale and formerly of Baltimore, MD entered into her eternal rest on Saturday, May 28, 2011.

She was born on May 14, 1930, to the late Clay and Jessie Lambert in Arbovale.

She married Lewis R. Bullock on July 18, 1964, who survives.

After they retired from General Motors, Baltimore, MD, they returned to the Lambert homeplace to live. She was of Methodist faith and was a member of Pine Grove Chapel where she also attended worship during her childhood.

Also surviving are children; Karen Conn(Bill) Hoeffler of Ormond Beach, FL, Kenneth (Joy) Warner of Upper Tract, Joseph (Jackie) Conn, Sr. Of Essex, MD, Pamela Conn (Buster) Waybright of Franklin and Larry (Michelle) Bullock of Lenoir, NC; foster grandchildren, Daryll Foster and Damione Bullock; a brother, Herald Lambert of Arbovale; “Nana” to Jeffery (list) Barker of Englewood, FL., Joseph (Cindy) Conn, Jr., of Bel Air, MD, Jeremy (Katie) Conn of White Marsh, MD, Shawn Brock of Harrisonburg, VA, Jessie Burke of Stephens City, VA, Brittany Conn of Joppa, MD, and Tyler Conn of Essex, MD; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear and beloved friends.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers; Junior, Crettes, Clen, Paul and Emmett Lambert; and three sisters, Nola Raines, Naomi (Toots) Cross and Betty Lambert.

A celebration of her life service will be held at Arbovale Methodist Church on Saturday at 11:00a.m.

The family will receive friends today and Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Arbovale.

Worthie Pitsenbarger

Worthie Junior Pitsenbarger, 74, of Franklin passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA.

He was born Sept. 15, 1936, at Hightown, VA, a son of the late Ernest Claude and Donna (Wimer) Pitsenbarger.

Mr. Pitsenbarger retired from General Motors after 37 ˝ years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish and his biggest joy was helping others. He was a member of Totten Chapel United Methodist Church and UAW Local #239 in Baltimore, MD.

His wife, Rose (Hunt) Pitsenbarger, whom he married Oct. 12, 1990 survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Peggy Pitsenbarger and friends, David Meek of Tampa, FL; two sons, Dexter and wife, Denise Pitsenbarger of Baltimore, MD, and Victor Pitsenbarger of Tampa, FL; four step-children, Tracy Pistorio of Jacksonville, FL, Pamela Chandler, Charlene Pistorio and Charles Pistorio, all of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren, Lilly Pistorio whom had made her home with the Pitsenbargers and was loved as a daughter, Spencer Pitsenbarger of Tampa FL, Shiloh, Keby and Jimmy Tate and Walter and Molly Chandler, all of Maryland; two sisters, Bertha and husband, Isaac “Bud”Dice of Franklin, and Myrtle Rader of Sugar Grove; and a brother, Arthur Wade and wife, Marie Pitsenbarger of Franklin.

He was also preceded in death by three brother, William and Ronald Pitsenbarger (infants) and Byron Pitsenbarger.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, VA, with the Rev. Dave Boger officiating. Burial will be in Totten Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Shirley Ann Weaver

Shirley Ann Weaver, 81, of Franklin and formerly of Richland, PA, and Coldwater, MI, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.

She was born at Reading, PA, on March 21, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles and Clara Klopp Karsnitz.

Mrs. Weaver graduated from Richland, PA, High School and was a member of the United Church of Christ. She was a charter member of the Women of the Moose #812 and a member of Order of the Eastern Star #449 and retired from Hanover Shoe Company.

On June 19, 1954, she married Albert Weaver, who survives in Franklin.

Also surviving are a daughter, Patricia Weaver and husband, Ken Weaver-Aldrich of Coldwater, MI; two sons, Michael C. Weaver of Franklin and Mark D. “Beaver” Weaver and wife, Tina of Timberville, VA; a brother, Lee Karsnitz of Manheim, PA; four grandchildren, Ryan and Kyla Weaver of Timberville, VA, and Derek and Duane Robbins of Coldwater, VA.[MI]

She was also preceded in death by two brother, James Karsnitz of Labanon, PA, and Charles Karsnitz of Richland, PA.

Per Mrs. Weaver’s request, funeral services were not held. Her body was cremated with Basagic Funeral Home, Franklin, handling the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Pendleton County Rescue Squad or Mountain Hospice.

William “Bill” Allen

William Michael “Bill” Allen, 52, of Randallstown, MD, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 29, 2911, at his residence.

He was born in Baltimore, MD, on Aug. 21, 1958, the son of William G. Allen of Maryland and the late Dorothy Fuller Allen (2006).

Mr. Allen was a graduate of Randallstown High School and graduated from a four-year technical college as a journeyman plumber. He was a supervisor at Academy Pools and was a Methodist by faith.

He enjoyed hunting, fourwheeling, golfing and spending weekends with the Warner and Sponaugle families on the Hunting Ground. He and his wife, Brenda, also enjoyed the last four years at their new home, which was the Conda and Bettie Sponaugle home place in Cherry Grove.

His wife, Brenda Sponaugle, survives in Randallstown, MD.

Also surviving are a son, Christopher M. Allen of Baltimore, MD; three step-sons, Brent P. Sponaugle, Aaron M. Sponaugle and wife, Abby, and John R. Sponaugle, all of Blue Grass, VA; a step-daughter, Kara R. Sponaugle of Blue Grass, VA; and a brother Michael D. Allen and wife, Pam of Sykesville, MD.

At his request, Mr. Allen’s body has been cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin. Interment will be in the Warner Cemetery on Hunting Ground.
