Gerald W. Aeschlimann

Gerald Wayne "Buck" Aeschlimann, 54, of Maysville died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.

He was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Washington, DC, and was the son of the late Oscar Aeschlimann and Ethel B. Griffin Aeschlimann.

He and his fmaily moved to West Virginia in 1987.  He worked for Advantage Foods in Petersburg for 14 years and was presently employed at pilgrim's Pride Corp. in Moorefield. 

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Mary Dian Bassford Aeschlimann; two daughters, Mary Emily Aeschlimann of Maysville and Susan Laynette Milller and husband, Lenny of Seneca Rocks; three grandchildren, Jordan Redmon, Alexander Pritt and Alyssa Pritt; and two step-grandchildren, Samantha and Corby Miller. 

He also was preceded in death by one brother, billy Aeschlimann, and two sisters, Darlene Dillon and Susie Scott. 

Pastor Greg Bland conduct the funeral Saturday at the Schaeffer Funeral Hoe in Petersburg. Burial was at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton.

Junius Miller, 82

Junius Glenn Miller, age 82 of Deer Run Rd., Franklin, died may 22, 2005, in the Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrisonburg, VA.  

He was born in Stonewood on May 1, 1923, a son of the late Oliver F. Miller and Oceaola (Sisler) Miller.  

His wife, Mary Susan (Owens) Miller, preceded him in death on Mary. 17, 1985. 

Mr. Miller previously worked as a custodian at Upper Tract Elementary School and for Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Clarksburg before retiring in 1978 from the Meadville Glass in Meadville, PA.  He served his country during World War II in the Army. 

Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Virginia) Guice, Bridgeport; a step-son, James E. Owens, Columbia, SC; a sister, Louis Whelan, Marysville, CA; four step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and a niece. 

A graveside service was held Friday in the Bridgeport Cemetery with Pastor Ron Owens presiding.  

Mary S. Emott, 96

Mary (Simmons) Emott, 96, widow of Lt. Col (Ret.) James Emott, of Fishersville, VA, died May 22, 2005, in the Shenandoah Nursing Home, Fishersville, VA.

She was born Sept. 8, 1908, in Sugar Grove, a daughter of the late David J. and Sally (Rexrode) Simmons. 

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Emott was employed as a registered nurse.  She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Simmons, and three sisters, Erma Cavanaugh, Cleta Simmons and Iva Lee Hupman. 

Family members include two sisters, Catherine S. Mauzy of Harrisonburg, VA, and Edna S. clement of Florida, and nine nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service was conducted Thursday in the Chapel of the Henry Funeral Home, Staunton, VA, by the Rev. Temple D. Myers. 

Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. 

Roscoe Kile, 82

Roscoe Kile, age 82, of Pendleton Nursing Home, and formelry of Harrisonburg, VA, died May 24, 2005. 

He was born May 13, 1923, in Pendleton County, a son of the late Alfred and Addie (Cassell) Kile.

Mr. Kile was a plumber for Riddleberger Bros. Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA, for 26 years and was a farmer.  He was a member of St. Paul Independent Lutheran Church and had served in the U.S. Army during WWII. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth (Rexrode) Kile;four brothers, Tom, Vernon, Okie and Milvin Kile; and five sisters, Mary Burns, Eva Mauk, Marge Grey, Clara Brown and Sally Kile.  

Mr. Kile was the last surviving member of his immediate family. 

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.  A funeral service was conducted Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, VA, by the Rev. Jerry Smith.  Burial was in St. Paul Cemetery.

Rosalie Harper, 72

Mrs. Rosalie Harper, 72, of Warren, Ohio, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born Oct. 27, 1932, in Teterton, she was the daughter of Joy Teter Cunningham and the late Ernest Cunningham.  

Mrs. Harper graduated from the Morgantown Business College with an associates degree and received her cosmetology license in Ohio after attending the Joseph Long School of Beauty.  She was a hairdresser in the Warren, Oh, area for many years, retiring in 1983. 

Her husband, Conley Frank Harper, whom she married Oct. 31, 1952, preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1984.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Joy Hedrick of Franklin, are two daughters, Jamie Koniowsky of Youngstown, OH, and Deanna Glaser and husband, John of Howland, OH; two sisters, Joan Day and husband, Fred of Champion, OH, and Judith Ours and husband, Clyde of Cabins; and five grandchildren.   

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter. 

Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. at the Robert H. Roberts-Clark memorial Home, Warren, OH, with Rev. Myron Daum officiating.  Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
