Edgar Crigler, 90, Franklin, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at his home.

Mr. Crigler was born March 18, 1911, in Franklin and was the son of the late Harry Crigler and Nettie Arbogast Crigler.

He retired in 1975 as a body repairman at Sites Chevrolet with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Sieberg Crigler; two daughters, Phyllis Sponaugle, Franklin, and Sondra Calhoun, Chicago, IL; a sister, Golda Wimer, Pendleton Nursing Home, a brother, Richard Crigler, Webster, IN; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Calhoun, Ohio, David Sponaugle, Clarksburg, Diane Paden, Brandywine, and Brenda Sponaugle, Harrisonburg, VA; and three great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis Crigler, Virgil Crigler, and Harry Crigler, Jr.; one sister, Fannie Crigler; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Sponaugle, in 1979.

The Rev. Cecil David Bradfield conducted a graveside service at 9 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pendleton County Rescue Squad.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin.

George R. Yokum, 84, Landes, died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg. He had been a resident of the Grant County Nursing Home for the past four months.

Mr. Yokum was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Landes and was the son of the late George Washington and Ina Frances (Judy) Yokum.

He was a farmer, construction worker and retired from the WV Dept. of Highways. He attended the Bethel Church of the Brethren, Landes.

He was the last member of his immediate family.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie (McUlty) Yokum, Mar. 12, 1983.

Surviving are two sons, J. Darwin Yokum, Kensington, MD, and Robert D. Yokum, Landes; two grandchildren, Chris mallow, Upper Tract, and James Yokum, Landes; and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Earl Yokum, Virgil Yokum and Lester Yokum; and three sisters, Audrey Kesner, Mernie Alt and Delphia Calhoun.

The Rev. Gregory A. Rotruck conducted the funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. Interment followed in the Yokum family cemetery.

Robert Virgil "Bobby" Hedrick, 84, Upper Tract, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin, whee he had lived for three and one-half months.

Mr. Hedrick was born July 26, 1916, in Upper Tract and was a son of the late Charles Edgar and Phoebe Ann Yokum Hedrick.

He was a farm hand and attended Brushy Run Church of God.

He is su7rvived by a brotherr, Melvin H. Hedrick, Winchester, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Victor Hedrick and Brook Hedrick; three sisters, Sylvia Grives, Lola Clem and Bernice Dumaret.

The Rev. Bruce Cosner conducted the funeral at 1 p.m. Monday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial was at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Upper Tract.

Quinten Lewis Moyers, 82, Moyers, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at Rockingham memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, VA.

Mr. Moyers was born March 29, 1919, at Moyes and was a son of the late William Boyd and Carrie (Simmons) Moyers.

He was a farmer and he retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of the Totten Chapel United Methodist Church.

On July 17, 1940, he married the former Bonnie Mae Propst, who survives.

He was the last member of his immediate family.

Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and ShirleyMoyhers of Dayton, VA; three grandsons, Daniel, Jason and John Moyers; two great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Barbara Moyers; two brothers, Raymond and Russell Moyers and a sister, Mable Moyers.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, VA, with the Rev. Charles W. Townsend officiating.

Interment will follow in the Totten Chapel Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Ethel M. Ruddle, 82, Franklin, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.

Mrs. Ruddle was born Aug. 12, 1918, in Whitmer and was the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Flodie E. Raines Harman.

She was a homemaker and a member of Reeds Creek United Methodist Church.

On Oct. 11, 1941, she married Alvin M. Ruddle, who died May 16, 1970.

Surviving are three sons, Gerald E. Ruddle, Sheldon L. Ruddle and James A. Ruddle, all ofFranklin; two daughters, Josephine L. Hedrick, Petersburg, and Violet L. Thompson, Brandywine; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-step-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one infant great-grandson.

The Rev. Edgar Null conducted the funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial was at the Ruddle Church Cemetery.
