Elizabeth Gallen
Elizabeth Gallen, 90, of Brandywine and formerly of Williamstown, NJ, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at her home.
She was born Oct. 24, 1920, at Philadelphia, PA, and was the daughter of the late Adrian Brown and Ann Neff
Brown.She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Charles Edward Gallen, preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2006.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and Frederick Harrison of Brandywine; two sons,
Charles Edward Gallen of Williamstown, NH, and John Christian Gallen of Philadelphia, PA; three sisters, Clara Ketner of Williamstown, NH, Myra Steck of Summerdale, NH, and Ann DeLorenzo of Sewell, NH, one brother-in-law, Frank Gallen of Philadelphia, PA, five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Services will be private.

Jean Kaufman, 67
Jean Ann (Abbott) Kaufman, 67, of Circleville passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Rockingham Memorial
Hospital, Harrisonburg, VA.Mrs. Kaufman was born June 28, 1943, in Ripon, England, and was a daughter of the late Dorothy Abbott.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles and mystery novels. She also loved
spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dogs.In July of 1979, she married Karl Kaufman, who preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2007.
Surviving are a son, Daniel Kaufman and wife, Julie of Charlottesville, VA; a daughter, Leah Shifflett and
husband, Brad of Massanutten, VA; a brother, Ron Abbott of the United Kingdom and three grandchildren, Avery Shifflett, Kainen Shifflett and Owen Kaufman.Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting

Cora Moyers, 86
Cora Moyers, 86, of Franklin died Feb. 8 at her residence.
Her husband, Harlan Richard Moyers, preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 2004.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Basagic Funeral Home, Franklin, were incomplete at press time.
Steven Craig Judy
Steven Craig Judy, 58, of Petersburg died Saturday, Jan 29, 2011, in Winchester Medical Center, Winchester,
VA.He was born Nov. 10, 1952, in Cumberland, MD and was a son of Francis L. Judy and Joan E. (Caudle) Judy of
Ruskin, Florida.Mr. Judy was co-owner of Judy’s Drug Store in Petersburg and Moorefield. He also was co-owner of Arby’s
Restaurant in Petersburg.He graduated from Petersburg High School in 1970 and West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 1975.
He was past president of the WV Pharmacists Association, member of the American Society for Automation and
Pharmacy Board, a member of the National Community Pharmacist Association, a member of the American Pharmacists Association, a member of West Virginia Drug Utilization Review Board for Medicaid and vice president of EPIC Pharmacies, Inc. He was a member of the NCPA Technology Committee. He was recipient of the WV Bowl of Hygeia Award in 2005. He served on the WV State Board of Pharmacy.He was chairman of the Grant County Board of Health and Grant County Chamber of Commerce where he was
chairman of the Grant County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the South Side Depot. He was chairman of the board of the Grant County Bank. He was a member of Grace Luther Church in Petersburg and served as councilman and president of the congregation.His wife, Joyce (Stump) Judy, preceded him in death on March 25, 2002.
Surviving, besides his parents, are one son, Darin Judy of Petersburg; one daughter, Emily Judy of Petersburg;
finance, Suenette Hardy; four brothers; P. Kevin Judy of Springfield, Gregory Judy and David Judy, both of Petersburg, and Darryl Judy of White Post, VA.Funeral services were held Saturday at the Petersburg First Baptist Church with Pastors Larry M. Cantu, Fred
Soltow, Sherrie Hoffman and Greg Rotruck officiating. Interment followed in the Lahmansville Cemetery.Memorials may be made to The Steven C. Judy Memorial Scholarship in Pharmacy, c/o WVU School of

Larry Thompson, 62
Larry Lee Thompson, 62, of Harrisonburg, VA, died at his residence.
A son of the late Ambrose and Nina Alt Thompson, he was born May 16, 1948, in Franklin.
He worked in the landscaping business.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Thompson and Jason Thompson, both of Akron, OH; one daughter, Cynthia
Thompson of Akron, OH; three grandchildren; and four sisters, Judy Cupp of Mechanicsburg, PA, Kitty Sullenberger of Mount Sidney, Va, Mary Rhodes of Grottoes, VA, and Sue Judy of Harrisonburg, VA.He was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
His body was cremated at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home and Crematory, Harrisonburg, VA.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

John “Andy” Andrew Frederick, 39, of Moorefield passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at the Winchester
Medical Center, Winchester, VA.Mr. Frederick was born Nov. 24, 1971, the son of Roger F. And Susie Frum Frederick of Weston.
On June 15, 1996, he married Melinda Cook Frederick, who survives in Moorefield.
He graduated from Lewis County High School in Weston and West Virginia University in Morgantown with a
degree in elementary education. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Petersburg and was a hunter safety education instructor for many years. He loved to hunt, fish and do woodworking. He was a teacher at Moorefield Intermediate School for 14 years.Also surviving are two sons, Austin and Jacob Frederick of Moorefield; one brother, David Frederick and wife,
Melanie of Frankfort, KY; and a maternal grandmother, Ethel Frum of Weston.Funeral services were held Saturday at the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, with Pastor Rick Bergdoll
officiating.Memorial donations may be made to the Moorefield Intermediate School Playground Fund or the Moorefield

Bessie Rebecca Warner, 86, of Beverly departed this life Wednesday evening, Feb. 2, 2011, at the Ruby
Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.She was born Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1924, at Hunting Ground, a daughter of the late Amby Warner and Surrilda
Waybright Warner.She attended the schools of Pendleton County and was a graduate of Circleville High School with the class of
1945. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dailey Apostolic Church.She was married to Curtis R. Warner, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are four sons, Steven R. Warner and wife, Gloria, Amby Warner and wife, Mary, Marvin Warner and
wife, Melinda, and Gary C. Warner and wife, Becky, all of Beverly; two daughters, Diana Cooper and husband, Bill of Elkins, and Maxine Cunningham and husband, Jack of Beverly; two sisters, Opal Bennett of Beverly and her twin, Jessie Sponaugle and husband, Cranston of Elkins; 12 grandchidren; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchidren; and 12 step great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by one son, Isaac Warner; two brothers, Noah and Sam Warner; and two sister,
Leota Arbaugh and Peachie Warner.Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home in Elkins with Rev. Randy Long
