Herman Carl Harman 

Herman Carl Harman, 80, of 104 W. Liberty St., Staunton, VA, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, VA. 

Mr. Harman was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Oswayo, PA, and was the son of the late William Washington Harman and Effie Fordelia George Harman. 

He was an Army veteran of World war II and was a Methodist.  He was retired from Stanley Furniture and was a band saw operator. 

On April 17, 1987, he married Viola Ritchie, who survives. 

Also surviving are two step-daughters, Teresa Tidd and Ann wiles, both of Stuarts Draft, VA; one step-son, Daniel Tidd of Stuarts Draft, VA; two brothers, Harry Harman and Charles Lee HArman; one sister, Erma Lantz; six half brothers, Samuel Harman, Ervin Kenny Harman, John A. Harman, William Lester Harman, William Clarence Harman and James E. Harman; four half sisters, Esther Susan Parker, Gertrude Mitchell, Beulah constable and Velma Addie Harman; two step-grandchildren, Erin and Destiny Wiles; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

he was also preceded in death by one brother, Harry Richard Harman; and one sister, Erma Ruth Latnz (2-6-1997).

The Rev. Stanley Kile conducted the funeral 2 p.m. Friday at the Basagic Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin..  Buria was at the Kline cemetery in Upper Tract.

Clifford M. Kisamore, 64

Clifford M. Kisamore, 64, of Davis Junction, IL, and formerly of Seneca Rocks, died Wednesday, Jan.22, 2003 at his home as the result of a stroke

Mr. Kisamore was born Sept. 25, 1938, in Brood and was the son of the late James Mason Kisamore and D. Evelyn Williams Kisamore of Seneca Rocks. 

He was a machinist at APV, Rockford for 18 years and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Cathedral Baptist Church in Rockford, IL.  He graduated from Circleville High School in 1956 and attended Potomac State College in Keyser for two years. 

On June 30, 1984, he married Harriet Miller, who survives. 

The Revs. Barbara Rexroad and Earl Bible conducted the funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at Seneca United Methodist Church.  Burial was at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.

Harry Jay Gordon

Harry Jay Gordon, 91, of Harry Gordon Road, Circleville, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at his home. 

Mr. Gordon was born May 3, 1911, in Circleville and was the son of the late William Gordon and Mary Nelson Gordon. 

He retired from the U.S. Forestry Service with 28 1/2 years of service.  He was a wildlife manager and deputy game warden.  He was a Methodist and a member of the Moose Lodge and Isaac Walton League. 

Surviving are his wife, Effie Bennett Gordon; four daughters, Bonnie Anderson, Eagle Rock, VA, Shelby Mullenax and husband, Bill of Harman, Sandra Lambert and husband, Eddie of Seneca, and Wilma Lambert and husband, Johnny of Stuart, VA; three sons, Randolph Gordon, Princeton, and Ronald Gordon and wife Jane, and Donald Gordon and wife, Betty, all of  Green Bank; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  

Preceding him in death were one brother, Vernon; and one sister, Nellie. 

The Rev. Stanley Kile conducted the funeral 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Basagic Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.  Burial was at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Pendleton County rescue squads.  

Doris Mae Ours, 92

Doris Mae Watts Ours, 92, of Cabins, died Thursday Jan. 23, 2003, at her home.  

Mrs. Ours was born July 31, 1910, in Hendricks and was a daughter of the late Seymour Watts and Laura Carr Summerfield.

She was a health care provider and a member of Cabins Assembly of god church. 

 Her husband, Alonzo. V. Ours, Sr., preceded her in death Sept. 28, 1977. 

Surviving are five sons, Alonzo Ours, Jr., of Manassas, VA, Neil Ours, Richard Ours and Danie Ours, all of Harman and Mickey Ours of Cabins; five daughters, Darlene Casto of Petersburg, Naomi Pennington of Dry Fork, Erma Koontz and Phyllis Dolly, both of Nokesville, VA, and Sharron Kimble of Powhatan, VA; a sister, Maysell Harman of Charles Town; 37 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Emma Lee Ours and Beulah Mae Crites; one son, Reginald Teddy Ours; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Cletus Watts, Borden "Bill" Watts and Arnold Watts; three sisters, Texie Riggleman, Nina Summerfield and Leona Summerfield. 

The Revs. Stephen B. Landis, Joseph D. Eversole and Brady Goldizen conducted the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at Cabins Assembly of God Church.  Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg. 

Memorial donations may be made to Cabins Assembly of God Church. 

Arrangements were by the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Inc., in Petersburg.
