Mary Virginia Sinnett Harman, 79, Upper Tract, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, where she had lived since March 1, 1999.

Mrs. Harman was born Feb. 6, 1921, in Whitmer and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Myrtle Bolton Sinnett.

She was a member of Christ Central Community Church in Upper Tract.

Her husband Quinten Harman, died March 23, 1998.

Surviving are two daughters, Faye Wilkinson, Petersburg, and Barbara Rohrbaugh, Maysville; a sister Treva Nesselrodt, North Augusta, SC; two brothers, Lee Sinnett, Franklin and Harvey Sinnett, Jr., Chittenango, NY; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Dr. Kenneth M. Harman, M.D., one brother, Keith Sinnett and two sisters, Eva Kesner and Madeline Mitchell.

The Rev. Edgar Null conducted the funeral at noon Friday at Christ Central Community Church. Burial was at Kline Cemetery, Kline.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Central Community Church or Grant County Nursing Home.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Jerry Wayne Sites, 46, Thorton, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at his residence.

Mr. Sites was born Nov. 30, 1954, at Harrisonburg, Va, and was the son of Helen Georgia Auville Sites, Elkins and the late William Rex Sites.

He was employed at Giant Foods as a selector and forklift operator. He was a graduate of Sparrows Point High School, Edgemere, Md, and was a Protestant by faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Ashley Ann Sites, Grafton; one son, Jerry Wayne Sites, Jr., Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Flora Lea Post, Thornton, and Marilyn Joan Roberts, Baltimore, MD; and one brother, Larry Steve Sites, Odenton, MD.

The Rev. Dr. Paul O'Gorek conducted the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial was in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton.

Anna Jane Thompson, 82, Akron, OH, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001 at Akron city Hospital.

Mrs. Thompson was born Jan. 9, 1919 at Whitmer and was the daughter of the late John and Rosetta White.

She was a homemaker and a member of Falls Baptist Temple in Monroe Falls, OH.

Her husband, Emmett Rush Thompson, died June 16, 1986.

She is survived are two daughters, Betty Jean Thompson, Akron, OH, and Ann "Penny" Tittle, North Carolina; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Charlene Thompson , Akron, OH; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Shirley Thompson, Virginia; and one brother, Lester White, West Virginia; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Otha, and one sister, Mary.

The Rev. Marvin Frankhouser conducted the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Riverton United Methodist at Riverton United Methodist Church in Riverton. Burial was in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.

Manola Dickenson Guyer, 86, Hinton Va, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Camelot Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrisonburg, VA.

Mrs. Guyer was born Feb. 6, 1914, in Briery Branch, VA, and was a daughter of the late John Ed and Hattie Bell Rexrode Dickenson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Clover Hill United Methodist Church.

On Nov. 2, 1933, she married Wilbert Guyer, who died June 10, 1978.

She is survived by four daughters, Alta Guyer Ritchie and Linda Guyer Miller, both of Dayton, VA, Elese Guyer Shiflet, Hinton Va, and Karen Guyer Puffenbarger, Brandywine; one sister, Geneva Howdyshell, Harrisonburg, Va; several half brothers and sisters; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. William Johnson and the Rev. William H. Garber conducted a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at clover Hill Cemetery.
