Ranson, Benjamin R.

1880-1953…Service will be at 2 p.m. today in Whittington mortuary chapel for Benjamin R. Ranson 73 retired carpenter, who died Friday July 10, 1953 at his home 1337 West Virginia Ave, Dunbar, after a two-year illness. Rev. William Jenkins will officiate and interment will be in the Emma Chapel Cemetery, Putnam County. Mr. Ranson had lived in Dunbar 33 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mina V. (FISHER) Ranson; two sons, Robert R. of Dunbar and A. Otis Ranson of Huntington; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Williams, Mrs. Irene Zimmerman and Mrs. Margaret Carney, all of Dunbar, and Miss Ruth Ranson of West Palm Beach Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Fred Parkins of Paradise; and two brothers, Roy of Nitro and Wirt of Liberty. Pallbearers will be Paul Foster, Ralph Parkins, Walter Ranson, Sattes Ranson, Delbert Fisher and Leonard Fisher. (Benjamin's parents were William Abraham Ranson and Margaret E. CARNEY)

Rollins, Lawrence L.

Lawrence L. Rollins, 64, of South Charleston died Thursday, March 25, 1999, in CAMC, Memorial Division, after a long illness. He was a maintenance employee with G.H. Kellog. Surviving: companion, Corine Wright; daughter, Judy Malary Jones of Dunbar; stepdaughters, Debbie and Dorthy; stepson, William; sister, Lorraine Jenkins of South Charleston; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rose of Sharon Christian Fellowship Church, South Charleston. Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home, Charleston, is in charge of arrangements.

RUSSELL, DANER

The Charleston Gazette Published 03/29/85...PATRIOT, Ohio--Daner Russell, 97, of Patriot, formerly of Alum Creek, W. Va., died Wednesday at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio, after a long illness. he was a merchant at emmons, W. Va. for several years. Surviving daughter-in-law, Mrs. Helen Russell of Patriot, with whom he resided, seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Service will be at 11 am on Saturday at curry Funeral Home Chapel, Alum Creek, with the Rev. Bill Malanowski officiating. Burial will be in Forks of Coal Cemetery, Alum Creek. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm today at the funeral home.
