WILL AND APPRAISEMENT OF JOSEPH VINCENT

I Joseph Vincent of Kanawha County do by .. my last will and testament dispose of my estate goods and chattles in the following manner and form

First it is my will and desire that my just debts be paid out of the debut, due to me if sufficient for that purpose if not then out of my goods and chattles.

2nd It is my will and request that no distributions be made of my estate either real or personal until my youngest child becomes of age but remain in the possession of my dearly beloved wife for the support of herself and our ….. family.

3rd It is my will that my negro man Slave called Bill and my negro woman Rhoda be hired out yearly and the proceeds of their hire be applied for the use and support of the family.

4th It is my will and desire that all my children shall have an equal portion of my Estate.

5th It is further my will and desire that in the event that my dearly beloved wife should become married after my death so soon as that takes place the 2nd articles or provisions in the will should be annulled; and distributions be made of the Estate according to law. She retaining her thirds and right to dower only.

6th I do hereby appoint my dearly beloved wife executrix of this my last will.

Signed and seal this 19th day of October, in the year of our lord 1820.

APPRAISEMENT
