WILL OF JOHN (JACK) TURLEY, JR.

1785-1848

I, Jack Turley, of the County of Kanawha and the State of Virginia do hereby make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say; I give and bequeath to my wife Betsy Turley, all my estate both real and personal, of what nature or kind soever it may for her lifetime to do as she pleas with, and after hur death all the property that is not herein before particularly disposed of I decree that it shall be equally divided amongst my children, namely Bethany, Sirena, Dryden, Washington, Milla, Hezekiah, Silas, Mary, and Martha which I give to them, to their heirs and assigns forever which division may take place immediately after my youngest daughters become 21 years of age or married. This, my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and offered my seal this 11th day of May 1848.

At a court held for Kanawha County this 10th day of June 1848. This last will and testament of Jack Turley decd was this day presented in court and proven by the oats of Calvin Midkiff and Bradford Hill, subscribing witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded.
