WILL OF W B TODD

Full of confidence in the mercy and goodness of …….. a B Todd of the County of Kanawha and State of Virginia being of sound mind do make this my last will and testament as follows,

First, I desire that after my death, my body may receive Christian burial to be conducted at the discretion of my hereafter named executor.

Second, I desire further that my said executors in the manner most approved of by him, make sale of all m y personal effects (saving and excepting my piano and bed and furniture which I leave and bequeath to my beloved daughter Lethe and apply the proceeds thereof together with the deeds rents and all the other of my property real personal and misceds to the maintenance and suitable education of my said daughter. Such reminder as may be after the purpose aforesaid are fulfilled. I desire may be consolidated into a funds and loaned out at the best interest and in such way as my said executor in his judgment may deem most advisable and the said remainder together with all the accumulating profits thereof to be placed at the disposal of said daughter on her arriving at lawful age or her marriage.

Having full confidence in the discretion of James E McFarland I appoint him executor of this my said last will and testament. And I make it my request to the County Court of Kanawha that they will appoint him guardian to my said daughter given under my hand seal this 24th day of April 1836.
