WILL OF THOMAS TANNER

At a court held for Kanawha County at the Court House thereof Monday the 15th of March 1825.

This nuncupative will of Thomas Tanner decd was this day produced in Court and proved by the oaths of Nicholas McGlumphy John Matthews and Mary Bean witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.

The nuncupative Will of Thomas Tanner made on the time of his last sickness at his residence in the County of Kanawha & State of Virginia where he had resided for more than ten days previous to his last sickness on the 14th day of February 1823 in the presence of the subscribers hereto by which said will he the said Thomas Tanner did give and bequeath unto his mother resident in the State of Kentucky the money which he had on interest in the State of Kentucky aforesaid for her support and by the said will he did give and bequeath unto Lewis his natural son by Abigail Smith in the County of Nicholas the sum of Five hundred dollars and sufficient to maintain & school .. decently to be raised out of the monies coming to hand in the county of Kanawha and state aforesaid.
