WILL OF NICHOLAS JONES

In the name of God Amen.

I Nicholas Jones of the County of Kanawha State of Virginia being weak and infirm in body but perfectly sound and rational in mind do make this my last will and testament.

Item the 1st I will unto my sister Lydia Jones the land on which I live during her natural life and her death to be sold and the proceeds thereof equally divided among my brothers via John Jones, Thomas Jones, David Jones and Lewis Jones.

Item the 2nd I do further will unto my sister Lydia all my personal property i.e. all my household and kitchen furniture Stock and Farming utensils together will all other property that I may possess at my decease after paying my just debts and defraying my funeral expenses.

Item 3rd I wish my brother John Jones to be sole executor to my Estate and that said Executor sell so much of my personal property as my sister, Lydia is not desirous to keep and the said executor pay over to Lydia the proceeds of the property thus sold for her sole use and benefit. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my seal the ninth day of March eighteen hundred and thirty tree.

This last will and testament of Nicholas Jones deceased, was this day presented in Court and proven by the oaths of Felix G Hanford, Littlebury Shrewsbury, wittnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
