WILL OF NICHOLAS FLANAGAN
At a court held for Kanawha County at the Court House thereof on Monday the 10th day of March 1823.
The last Will and testament of Nicholas Flanagan deceased was this day presented in Court and proved by oaths of James Colguhound and Newton Gardiner subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
I Nicholas Flanagan, of Kanawha County, do hereby make my last Will and testament in manner and form following.
First, I desire that all the personal part of my Estate be immediately sold after my decease, that my account be settled and the monies due me collected as soon as practicable and that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid without delay.
2nd - Having hereto before conveyed some of m real estate to Andrew Bierne of Monroe County in Trust for my son George Andrew Flanagan, thereby give and devise to the said Andrew Bierne all the residue of my real estate together legal or equitable in trust to sell the same, in the best way and on the best terms according to his discretion. The money arising therefrom as well as from all my personal estate I desire to be applied, first to the payment of my just debts and secondly all the residue I give and bequeath to my said son Geory Andrew Flanagan, … executors, administrators or assigned, 3rly all my personal estate I give to said son
And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend Andrew Bierne of Monroe County, Executor of this my last will and testaments, hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me hereafore made.
In witnesses whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of January AD 1823.
