I Samuel Chilton do make this my last will and testament. I give to each of my daughters one Negro girl Liz, To Sarah E Chilton Jane the daughter of Winney to Mary E Chilton Lucy the daughter of …. To … Buster Heneritta the daughter of Black Lucy To …..To Frances Chilton Isabella the daughter of Winney To my grand daughter Lucy Ann Chilton daughter of my deceased son Sylvia the daughter of Mariah, I also give to my daughter Sarah E Chilton a Negro boy called Fielding in … of having made use of some money of hers and her low state of health all the balance of my property after the death of my wife I wish to be divided in the following manner my children to have an equal share my grand daughter Lucy Ann Chilton a half share

It is my desire that my son Charles shall come in for any equal share with the rest of my children provided he will throw on whatever he has received in value of Negroes say to the amt of $550 I obtained a judgment in the Superior Court of Kanawha against my son Lance B Childton decd for a large sum of money which if collected I desire to be given to my grand daughter Lucy Ann Chilton.
