In the Name of God Amen. I William Baley of the County of Kanawha Commonwealth of Virginia being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be give unto .. calling to mind … and knowing that by appointed for all men..my last will and testament. That …….

My sons Samuel, William, John and Ruben ……… all land and …… in any ……..unto my thirds son William Baley I give the first .. lot marked beech tree on the north, bank of .. back to the mark Maple near the top of the .. …the supposed back line thence running …and with the same to Poca so .. To my first son Samuel Baley I give a second lot beginning as before at a marked beach tree on the said .. Bank of Pocatalico thence out to a marked hopulacure… up said branch meandering the same so as to corner on a spring a few poles on said branch thence up said branch to marked beach thence out to 2d marked beach thence out a 3d marked beach thence out to a marked sowerwoods and thence to the back and with the same to the first lot, and with the Soars boundary to Poca so as to include a second lot. Also I give to my fourth son John Baley 15 acres of land on the said north bank of Poca, leaving the Loar beach corner on the bank of Poca corner to Samuels and running and meandering said Poca and line until the said 15 acres he had and the hole of the residue of my land and tenements on the said north bank of Poca. I give to my youngest son Rueben Baley the crossing Poca to the south east side, first of all I give to my fourth son John Baley one hundred acres of land to be laid off of the Loar end of said survey and residue thereof shall be equally divided amongst my other three sons Samuels, William and Ruben so as to allow Williams residue so lay opisit his the said first upper lot and furthermore, I constitute and oblige my above named sons Samuel, William, John and Ruben Baley to pay eacks and severally the sum of twenty fives dollars to my seconds son John Baley making him anagrigats sum of two hundred and seventy nine dollars including one hundred and seventy nine dollars previously advanced to me. I further bequeath to my son Samuel Bailey the third part of my stock farming utensils crops household goods kitchen furniture debts and my moscable effects to be received by him at his dis.. either on the app.. or .. belt and the remaining of the stock and effects to be equally divided amongst the … sons Samuel William John and Reuben Baley in two.. to pay my beloved daughter Nancer Philien, Elizabeth .. and Martha Lanham the sum of thirty seven dollars and a half each…

This was will and testament of William Baley deceased was this day presented in court proven by the oaths of William E Smith and Pleasant Lanham witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
