The EARLY Hampshire county encompassed these areas.
The Eastern half of Morgan county came out of
Berkeley County.
Today's Hampshire County is divided into 6 districts
which are semi-analogous to the Townships in other
states. NONE of the Districts, however, has any
administration functions or duties and they serve mainly
as real property identifiers.
