Mt. Union Methodist Church

This is the old wooden Mt. Union Methodist Church, established 1872. This building was replaced by a brick church, which still stands today. The land for this church was purchased for one dollar from Absolum and Lettisha (Campbell) Roberts, residents of Cabell County and lived on Mt. Union road just south of the church.

Absolum & Lettisha Roberts

Absolum Roberts, born October 1819,  married Lettisha Campbell in 1860. She was born July 1841. Both are buried in Mt. Union Cemetery in Cabell County.
Lettisha's name has several spellings, depending on the source. Other spellings include Lititicia and Lititcia.
