In August 1780 HENRY CLICE purchased lot # 209 in Martinsburg. The deed listed him as being from Loudoun. On the same day a CHRISTIAN CLICE purchased lot # 191. They paid 500 pounds Pennsylvania money for each lot. Henry remained on the land tax rolls through 1785 then disappears. I can find not deed of sale recorded, no will/estate, or any other form of transfer. Any help would be appreciated. The name also spelled CLYCE, KLYCE, CLISE.

While residing in Berkeley county Virginia, Thomas Oliver enlisted in 1779 and served as a private in Captains Bedinger's and Kirkpatrick's Companies,Colonel Samual Heres' Virginia Reglment. He was in several skirmishes and was discharged in the summer of 1782, at Winchester Barracks, Fredrick county, Virginia. Also trying to find out who Thomas Oliver was married to.
