HOW TO GET TO GWENT ARCHIVES IN EBBW VALE

By Road

From M4 junction 28 (for Brynmawr/Risca)

Follow the A467 to Aberbeeg. Take the first left at the roundabout, ont othe A4046 towards Cwm (signposted "Ebbw Vale"), followed by the second left at the next roundabout. In Waunlwyd, turn right onto Steelworks Road (B4486) before the Park Hotel. Follow this road past Tyllwyn, and you will see the clock tower of the General Offices. The car park is immediately before the clock tower on the left.

From the A465 Heads of the Valleys road

Take the junction for Ebbw Vale onto the A4046, passing the college on your right. Take the first left at the next roundabout (signposted "The Works"). Take the second left at the next roundabout, onto Steelworks Road (B4486). As you pass the General Offices (with clock tower), the car park is immediately  on your right.

By Rail

Hourly trains currently run from Cardiff Central to Ebbw Vale, taking about 45 minutes. The walk from the station along Steelworks Road then takes about 30 minutes.

By Bus

Regular Stagecoach services run from Newport along Steelworks Road, with a stop very close to the General Offices. Please see http://www.traveline-cymru.info/  for further details.
