WHERE WE HOLD OUR BRANCH MEETINGS |
 |
Meetings of our Newport Branch are held at the Newport YMCA, which is near the Royal Gwent Hospital. The YMCA is at the southern end of Mendalgief Road, NP20 2HF. In the following map zoom out, using the button, to see the network of roads over a wider area:
The YMCA is on the right when driving south on Mendalgief Road, and there is free parking space within the grounds. In the 'street view' below, the single-storey annexe in which the meetings are held can be seen on the right-hand side of the main building - the entrance is through the double doors on the left of the annexe:

WHERE WE HOLD OUR TUITION CLASSES |
 |
Tuition Classes are held at Newport Civic Centre, NP20 4UR (its Clock Tower is one of Newport's landmarks). Use the main entrance in the front (north-west side) of the building, and ask at the reception desk for specific directions to the room where the meeting is being held - this can sometimes vary. In the following map zoom out, using the button, to see the network of roads over a wider area:
There is a one-way system from east to west in Westfield Road, which is within the grounds of the Civic Centre and has limited free car parking. The short stretch of road running south-east from Fields Road to Westfield Road is also one-way, and does not allow access to the main stretch of Godfrey Road which normally has adequate parking space on its hill. This one-way system can be seen on the 'street view' below which shows the junction with Westfield Road leading to the front of the building:

THE PARISHES WE COVER |
 |
The Registration Districts and Sub-Districts shown in the following table are those originally allocated to the parishes as shown in the 1851 census.
Some parishes had changed by the 1911 census, and some new parishes had been created. For those details, and details of the towns, villages and hamlets within parishes, see the list of 'Place Names In Wales: Monmouthshire' in the 1911 Census section of the Association of Family History Societies of Wales website.
