New Cigar Factory at Nekoosa
The Wood County Times
October 16, 1913, Page 1
Nekoosa, Wood Co., Wisconsin
Evidences of Nekoosa enterprise, push and prosperity continue to
increase. Among the more recent may be mentioned the cigar manufactory
of F. X. GRODE. Mr. GRODE is not a novice at this business, as previous
to dispensing of his barbershop and becoming a knight of the grip,
something more than a year ago, he was quite extensively engaged in
this line.
He has fitted up the rooms in the north end of his barber shop,
put in new fixtures and all necessary tools and appliances and
has resumed the manufacture of cigars. He has engaged the services
of Joe ARNOLD, than whom there is no better cigar maker. As there
are many details to look after in the beginning of any new business,
Mr. GRODE had not, when we last saw him, fully determined what brands
he will place on the market, but they will be the very best, high
grade cigars that experience, skill and the best grades of tobacco
can produce. The Times wishes him a bushel and three pecks of success.
