the Village of Winneconne, Winnebago Co, WI

History: This cemetery has been and still is today referred as the "abandoned cemetery
on the west side of Winneconne. It is very small and was not used very long as the
Village Cemetery on the East side of the river was developed and grew to be its primary
cemetery. This cemetery in the past had been neglected and vandalized. The Historical
Society of Winneconne formed in 1970 and took notice to the condition of this cemetery.
They sought to restore this cemetery to the best of their ability. It is now a small,
quiet, and very well kept cemetery for all to enjoy!
