Read Fall of 1984 by Shirley Proud Leible and Mara Brewster Munroe Re-Read August 2001 by Janet Eiler Entrance Stone with Brass Plaque: On March 9, 1869, Isaac Royer deeded this land to his daughter Amelia and son-in-law William McKinley. On June 12, 1870 William McKinley gave a full acre of land to establish Royer Cemetery. This cemetery was maintained by the daughters of Isaac Royer and their families until it was ceded to the Town of Clayton on September 8, 1970.
