Marie Gansen, 97, Iola, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 1995 at the Iola Nursing Home.BR>BR>
She was born Jan. 13, 1898 in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late Casper and Alvina (Brandenburg) Heinemann. On Nov. 25, 1924, she married Paul L. Gansen in Menominee, Mich. He died on Jan. 3, 1962. She was a clerk at the Kline Department Store in Oshkosh.BR>BR>
Mrs. Gansen was a loving, caring, and giving person who liked helping others.BR>BR>
Survivors include three sisters; Viola Bublitz and Rose Reiter, both of Oshkosh, and Margaret Kaeser, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews.BR>BR>
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Heineman, and an infant brother.BR>BR>
A private service will be held at a later date.BR>BR>

TODAY'S DEATHS
Railroader, Paul Gansen, Is Dead at 72
Paul Gansen, 72, of 916 Central St., died Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Mercy Hospital. He was taken to the hospital Monday morning following a heart attack.
He was born in Hortonville on Sept. 7, 1899, son of Dr. and Mrs. Albert Gansen and had resided in Oshkosh since 1900. He was married to Miss Marie Heinemann on Nov. 25, 1924 in Menominee, Mich.
Mr. Gansen had been employed by the Milwaukee Road for 33 years before his retirement in 1950. A veteran of WW1, he was a member of Florian Lampert Post 1908, Veterans of Foreign Wars, member of the brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and former member of Masonic Lodge 205.
Surviving are his wife, Marie; one brother, Roman Gansen, Torrance, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Celia Stratford, also of Torrance; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home with the Rev. Alexander Weinbender, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from Friday afternoon until the hour of services.

Mrs. Carl (Delores) Gerstmeyer, 48, formerly of Oshkosh, died Wednesday at 11 a.m. to her home in Appleton.
The former Delores Diane West was born in Oshkosh on Sept. 26, 1928, daughter of Joseph and Gertrude West, and was married to Carl Gerstmeyer on Aug. 20, 1948.
Mrs. Gerstmeyer was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Surviving are her widower, one brother, Joseph West, Oshkosh; and five sisters, Mrs. Florence Trenerry, Gwinn, Mich., Mrs. Grace Bayer, Neenah, Mrs. Marie Fiedler, Mrs. John (Phyllis) Tetzlaff and Mrs. John (Charlotte) Murphy, Oshkosh.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. John D. Strom officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home Friday from 4-9 p.m., and on Saturday at the church from 8-9 a.m.
