WINNECONNE WOMAN DIES AT HER RESIDENCE
Mrs. Margaret Fuhs, 77, widow of August H. Fuhs, Winneconne, died at the village residence yesterday afternoon about 5:50 o'clock.
Mrs. Fuhs was born in the town of Oshkosh, June 25, 1866, and had lived in this county all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schindleholz. With her husbandat she lived on a farm near Butte des Morts on Highway 110 known as the "Fuhs-Hill" farm. The husband died 11 years ago.
Surviving are a son, Carl A. Fuhs, Winneconne; a daughter, Mrs. Lamont Devens, Winneconne; two sisters, Mrs. Michael Steiner, Zion, Wis, and Mrs. W.A. Runge, Long Beach, Calif.; and a nuber of nieces and nephews. A daughter, Mrs. W.C. Gruenwald and a son, Leo Fuhs, preceded her in death.
Funeral rites will be held Friday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock at the Konrad funeral home. The Rev. Theodore Iroin will officiate. Interment will be in Plummer's cemetery on Highway 110. Friends may view the remains at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon after 4 o'clock and up to the time of the services.

MRS. FUHS DEAD
Mrs Mariana Fuhs, an inmate of the county house, died there Sunday morning at the age of seventy-eight years. Death was due to general debility. She was a pioneer resident of the county. There are six children surviving, William Fuhs of Big Stone City, SD, Mrs Fred Berndt of Menasha, Mrs. Max Pomrenke of the town of Nekimi, Mrs. Albert Klinger of the town of Algoma, and Herman and Rudolph, both of Oshkosh.
The funeral will be held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the home of Herman Fuhs, 570 Bowen street. Rev G.M Weig will officiate and interment will be at Riverside cemetery.

MARTHA B. FUHS
Martha B. Fuhs, 91, Oshkosh, died Monday afternoon Nov 30, 1992 at Bethel Home.
She was born Feb 10, 1901 the daughter of Louis and Bertha Wendtland. She married Walter E. Fuhs 66 years ago on June 8, 1926, in Oshkosh.
Martha was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church and was very active in many groups in the church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Walter; a sister, Alma Junge of Appleton; a daughter, Lorna (Oliver) Edwards of Oshkosh; a son, David (Jeanne) Fuhs of Baraboo; eight grandchildren, Linda (Jim Mollon) Schultis of Oshkosh, Karen (Steve) Ellingson of Reedsburg, James Edwards of Gurnee, Ill., David (Christine) Fuhs of Woodburg, MN, Andrew (Shelly) Fuhs of New London, Thomas Fuhs of Berlin, Germany, and Joanne (John) Cabaj of Schoolcraft, Mich.; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Amanda Wendtland and Adeline Froehming; and two brothers, Leonard Wendtland and Arthur Wendtland.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, Dec 4, in Peace Lutheran Church, with the Revs John Beem and Todd Smith officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home and from noon until the time of services Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Peace Lutheran Church renovation fund.

MRS. MARTHA FUHS
Mrs. Martha Fuhs, 86, formerly of 621 Mt Vernon St., died Saturday at 8 p.m. at Bethel Home. She had been residing at the home the past three months.
She was born in Oshkosh on March 11, 1884, daughter of Albert and Augusta Frank, and was married here on July 3, 1906 to William Fuhs who preceded her in death on Feb 11, 1964.
Mrs. Fuhs was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid of the church and Bethel Home Auxiliary.
Surviving are one son, Raymond Fuhs, Oshkosh; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev James I. Mikkelson, pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 - 9 p.m.

MIRIAM I. FUHS
Miriam I. Fuhs, 91, of Oshkosh, died Friday, February 9, 2001 at the Bethel Home. She was born in Oshkosh on November 29, 1909 the daughter of David A. and Clara D. (Fuller) Pugh. On April 13, 1936 she married Raymond Fuhs at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
Miriam was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Peace Lutheran Guild, Volunteer People of Peace, and the Martha Circle. She had aslo been the bookkeeper at the Fuhs Drug Store for over 30 years, retiring in 1966.
She is survived by a son, James (Myrna) Fuhs of Manitowoc, WI; two daughters, Elaine (Marlyn) Ziemer of Wausau, WI and Susan Hobson of Fairbanks, AK; a brother, Everett (Joyce) Pugh of Old Fort, NC; a sister, Bernice (Donald) Fisher of Pickett, WI; five grandchildren, Michael (Sharon) Fuhs of Edina, MN, John (Christina) Fuhs of Pewaukee, WI, Karen (Robert) Rohrer of Manitowoc, WI, Jody (Donald) Sonsalla of Menomonee Falls, WI and Scott Ziemer of Wausau, WI; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Derek, and Julie Rohrer of Manitowoc, Katie and Kellie Fuhs of Edina, MN, Jenna Fuhs of Pewaukee, WI, and Jade Sonsalla of Menomonee Falls, WI. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard and Orville Pugh and by two sisters, Carol Lewis and Irene Otto.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb 16, 2001 at 11 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Poffinbarger officiating. Burial will be in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Peace Lutheran Church on Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials be given to the Peace Lutheran Church.

MYRNA E. FUHS
Myrna E. Fuhs, age 63, of 3515 Wildwood Dr, Manitowoc, WI died Saturday, February 10, 2001 at home surrounded by her family.
Memorial services will beheld at 11:30 AM on Saturday, Feb 17, 2001 at the First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc with Pastors Steven Solberg and Steven Olson officiating. P.E.O. Chapter CD will also participate in the services. Cremation has taken place.
Myrna was born on October 4, 1937 in Chicago, IL, the only child of Ethel M. Lundberg and the late Stanley C. Lundberg. She attended DePaul University and also the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she met her husband, James Fuhs. They were joined in marriage on July 18, 1959 and the couple moved to Manitowoc in 1960. Myrna was very active in her church and other community organization.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Jim, their three children, Michael (Sharon) Fuhs, John (Tina) Fuhs, and Karen (Robert) Rohrer; six beloved grandchildren and her mother. She was preceded in death by her father, her father-in-law, Raymond Fuhs and her mother-in-law, Miriam Fuhs of Oshkosh, WI on Friday, February 9, 2001.
The family will greet relatives and friends at First Lutheran Church, 521 N 8th St, Manitowoc from 10:00 AM Saturday, February 17, 2001 until the time of services at 11:30 AM.
Memorials may be made to the Endowment Fund of the First Lutheran Church, YMCA, or Silver Lake College, or the charity of your choice.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc (phone 920-684-4642) is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

RAY FUHS
A longtime drugstore operator, Ray Fuhs, 73, of Oshkosh, died this morning in Mercy Medical Center.
He was owner-operator of Fuhs Drugstore for 30 years until 1965 when he became employed by the Mueller-Potter Drugstores.
He was born in Oshkosh Aug 23, 1908, the son of William and Martha Fuhs. He married Miriam Pugh in Oshkosh on April 13, 1936. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Marlyn (Elaine) Ziemer, Wausau, and Mrs. Ronald (Susan) Hobson, Mirimar, Fla.; one son, James, Manitowoc; and five grandchildren.
Services will beat 1:30 pm, Wednesday in Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev Carl Knitt officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at Konrad Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the services.
A memorial has been established to Peace Lutheran Church or to Bethel Home.

WALTER ERNEST FUHS
Walter Ernest Fuhs, 97, of Oshkosh died Thursday, January 14, 1999 at Bethel Home.
He was born Sept 2, 1901 in Oshkosh, the son of Herman and Louise Ziebell Fuhs. On June 8, 1926 Walter married Martha Wendtland in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on Nov 30, 1992.
Walter was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, and actively involved in its many activities. He was employed for many years as caretaker for Mrs. Alberta Kimball.
He is survived by his children Lorna (Oliver) Edwards, Oshkosh; and their children, Linda (James) Mollon, Oshkosh, Karen (Steven) Ellingson, Reedsburg, James Edwards, Grafton, Julie (Tim) Blume, Palatine, IL; one son David (Jeanne) Fuhs of Baraboo, and their children, david (Christine) Fuhs, Woodbury, MN, Andrew (Shelley) Fuhs, New London, Thomas Fuhs, Berlin, Germany, Jody (John) Cabaj, Sheboygan; the great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Walter was preceded in death by brothers William, Albert, and Arthur; and sisters Emma Durant, Alma Zemke, Olga Masterson, and Meta Rauch.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan 18 at 11:00 AM in Peace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Poffinbarger officiating. Family and friends may call at the church Monday from 10:00 AM until the service time. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Peace Lutheran Church or Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh.

WARREN R. FUHS
Warren R. Fuhs, 76, of 3992 Mears Rd, Oshkosh, died Friday at Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Fuhs was born May 13, 1903 in the Oshkosh area. He was married to Ella Hunt. She preceded him in death in December 1962.
Mr. Fuhs lived and farmed here his entire life.
Surviving are two sons, Howard, Oshkosh, and Robert, Winneconne; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Mary) Johnson, Winchester, and Mrs. Lee (Betty) Mauritz, Oshkosh; one brother, Loyal, Gresham, Ore; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 pm in Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, the Rev Theodore Berkland officiating. Burial will be in Allenville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm on Sunday.

WILLIAM E. FUHS
William E. Fuhs, 81, of 731 Evans St., died Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Winnebago State Hospital. He had been ill health for eight years.
He was born in Oshkosh on July 5, 1882, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fuhs, and was married here to Martha Frank on July 3, 1906.
Mr. Fuhs was a painter and interior decorator. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and a charter member of the local painters and interior decorators union. He had last been employed by Hugo Riese & Sons and Melvin Klinger.
Surviving are his wife, Maria; one son, Raymond Fuhs, Oshkosh; one brother, Walter Fuhs, Oshkosh; two sisters, Mrs Olga Masterson, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Meta Rausch, Chicago; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were two sisters, Mrs. Alma Zemke and Mrs. Emma Durant, and Arthur.
Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. I. Harold Kuester, pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from Thursday at 4 p.m. until the hour of services.
