Jean Marie Fairbank


Jean Marie Fairbank, 69, of 44 Parkway Terrace, Ripon, passed away in her home, surrounded by loving children at her side, Tuesday evening, Nov. 13, 2001.

She was born April 16, 1932, in Eureka, a daughter to Maxwell and Dorthy (Bishop) Carpenter.

She graduated from Omro High School in June of 1950. On June 17, 1950, she married Carl R. Eiler, who passed away in 1980. She later married James Fairbank on Dec. 5, 1980, and he passed away in 1999.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, sister, aunt and caring friend to many. She enjoyed feeding the birds, gardening, trips to Oneida, and she never missed a birthday or anniversary. She loved and was loved by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Linda (James) Mueller of Pickett, Leonard (LaVonne) Eiler of Montello, Laura (Richard) Meyer of La Valle, Debbie (Doug) Norton of Green Lake, Donna (John) Bille of Crivitz, and David (Debra) Eiler of Fairwater; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and stepchildren and grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters, Lois (Carpenter) and Ken Dobson of Lake City, Minn., Enid (Carpenter) and Gordon Sailer of West Bend, and Doris (Carpenter) and Laurie Koepke of Omro; and William and Susan Carpenter of Eureka.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jean Ann Eller; grandson, Joshua; and husbands.

Services: Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at the Eureka United Methodist Church, Eureka, with the Rev. Don Olm officiating. Interment will be in Rushford Cemetery in the Town of Rushford, Winnebago County.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m., conducted by Pastor Levy Snyder. Visitation will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

A memorial has been established.

Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MRS. CLARA FAUSTGEN


Mrs. Clara Faustgen, 88, formerly of 330 E. Irving Ave., died Thursday at 1 p.m. at Oak Manor Nursing Home, 1052 Algoma Blvd., following an extended illness.

She was born in Oshkosh on Oct. 2, 1872, daughter of Jacob and Augusta Ihrig, and spent most of her life here. She was married to Peter Faustgen, who preceded her in death in 1958.

Mrs. Faustgen was a member of Martin Luther Church and the Women's Guild of the church.

Surviving are two sons, Arthur Faustgen, Abilene, Tex., and Robert Faustgen, Oshkosh; two daughters, Miss Josephine Faustgen, Oshkosh, and Mrs. W.N. Smith, Westville, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Helen Siefort, Oshkosh; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. H.O. Kleinhans, pastor of Martin Luther Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from Sunday at 4 p.m. until the hour of services. A memorial has been established in her memory for the church building fund.

IRENE H. FAUSTGEN


Irene H. Faustgen, age 88 of Oshkosh, died Sunday morning, March 24, 2002 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born on November 11, 1913 in Yakima, Washington to Orlo and Albia (Tenant) Little. Irene married Robert Faustgen on June 1, 1946 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1977.

Irene received her nursing degree from Mercy Medical Center in 1937 and was employed by Mercy Medical Center as an operating room nurse. After retiring from Mercy Medical Center she was employed as a nurse at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was a member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one sister: Oma (Paul) Case of Springfield, Missouri; two nieces: Paula Watson and Marge Little both of New Mexico; caregiver and friends: Ann Schreiber and Joe Schreiber Jr. both of Oshkosh. Preceding Irene in death was her brother: Frank Little.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 26, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in Lake View Memorial Park with Rev. Jeffrey Berg officiating. Memorials may be made to Affinity Hospice in Irene's memory.

PETER FAUSTGEN DIES AT AGE OF 86


Peter Faustgen, 86, of 330 E. Irving Ave., died unexpectedly Monday at 4 p.m. at Mercy Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1872, in Oshkosh, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Clara; two sons, Arthur Faustgen, Abilene, Tex., and Robert Faustgen, Oshkosh; two daughters, Miss Josephine Faustgen, Oshkosh, and Mrs. W.M. Smith, Westville, Ind.; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with interment in Lakeview Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from Wednesday at 4 p.m. until the hour of services.
