TO HOLD FUNERAL


Services for Mrs. Hannah Brandenburg will be Held From Home of Daughter Saturday Morning

The funeral of Mrs. Hannah Brandenburg, widow of William Brandenburg, will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Heinemann, 56 Powers Avenue. Rev. George M. Weng of the Christ Lutheran Church will be the officiating clergyman.

Mr. Brandenburg passed away Jan. 13 and it is coincidence that both he and she were both 85 years of age at the time of her death. The remains of Mr. Brandenburg have been in the receiving mausoleum at Riverside chapel and now both bodies will be interred at Liberty Cemetery at New London.

Friends wishing to view the remains may do so this evening, Friday, and Saturday morning up to the hour of the funeral at the home of Mrs. Jacob Heinemann.

note: Wilhelm and Hannah were interred at Liberty Cemetery, New London, Wisconsin on 19 March 1927.

PASSES AWAY HERE


William Brandenburg, formerly of New London and Black Creek Dies at Daughter's Home.

William Brandenburg, formerly of New London and Black Creek, passed away this morning at 7 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Heinemann, 56 Powers Avenue.

Mr. Brandenburg came to this city from Black Creek and resided with his daughter for ten weeks. He was born in Germany, July 27, 1841.

The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hannah Brandenburg; five daughters, Mrs. Jacob Heinemann, Alvina, Mina, Mathilda, and Emma Brandenburg; three sons, Herman, Fred, and William, besides several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Spikes & McDonald Funeral parlors, Rev. George M. Weng of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot at Liberty Cemetery, New London.

Friends are requested to omit floral tributes.

Note: The remains of Wilhelm were placed in the mausoleum at Riverside chapel until spring when they will be taken to New London for interment at Liberty Cemetery.

Mrs. Lloyd Brigham
November 11, 1961 - Oshkosh Northwestern


Mrs. Lloyd Brigham, 72, formerly of Oshkosh died unexpectedly Friday at 8:45 a.m. at her home in Sheboygan.

Born April 7, 1889, in Beloit, she was the daughter of Thomas and Bertha Barr. She attended public schools here abd graduated from Oshkosh Normal School, now Oshkosh State College.

Her first husband, Col. James G. Lampert, died in service with the Army in France during World War I. On May 27, 1924, she was married to Lloyd R. Brigham at Bayfield, where they lived until moving to Sheboygan in 1931.

Mrs. Brigham was a member of First Congregational Church, Sheboygan, Martha Chapter of the church and Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Maj. Gen. James B. Lampert, Alexandria, VA.; one brother, Edward B. Barr, Winnetka, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Aldis L. Brigham, Lansing, Mich.; and three grandchildren. One sister preceded in death.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church, Sheboygan, with interment in Wildwood Cemetery there.

Friends may call at Ballhorn Funeral Home, Sheboygan, after 2 p.m. Sunday.

ENOCH BROOK DIES.


Pioneer Resident and Civil War Veteran Passes Away at Cumberland, Wis. Enoch Brooks, a pioneer resident and veteran of the Civil War, died at the home of his son, Elmer Brooks, Cumberland, Wis., April 2, according to information received by relatives in this city. He was eighty-four years of age and came to Oshkosh in 1839. It is said he was the first engineer on the local lakes and rivers. He enlisted in Company B, Third Wisconsin cavalry, under Colonel Barstow. He has four years of service. The wife died in 1873. He is survived by two sons, Martin and Elmer Brooks. Another son, George, died several years ago. There are several grandchildren, and two brothers, Gilbert Brooks, and I. H. Brooks, are still living.

Former Neenah Resident Dies


Robert Cutler Brown, formerly of Neenah and lately of Milwaukee, died Wednesday noon April 23, 1958 at Milwaukee after a year's illness. He was born Nov.19 1893 at Preston, England, and lived in Neenah for 24 years before moving to Milwaukee 20 years ago. He was vice president of the Cromwell Paper Co. of Chicago.

He was a member of the Whiting Memorial Baptist church, the Elisha Kent Kane Masonic lodge No. 61 and the Scottish Rites order. He was a thirty second degree mason.

Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Kessler Funeral Home with the Rev. A.G. Sinclair, former pastor of the Whiting Memorial Baptist church here and now of West Allis, in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 o'clock this afternoon to 9 o'clock tonight.

Survivors are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Edward M. Neubauer, Neenah; a son, Robert C. Brown, Jr., Milwaukee; two brothers, D.K.Brown, Neenah and Fred Brown of Black Pool, England; three sisters, the Misses Ethel and Annie Brown and Mrs. Edith Gleave, all of Black Pool, England and four grandchildren

Edwin W. Bublitz


Edwin W. Bublitz, 83, formerly of 1302 Grand St. died Friday at 4:10 p.m. at Bethel Home, following an extended illness. He was born in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan County, on Jan. 23, 1893, son of August and Mina Bublitz, and was married to Viola Heinemann on April 21, 1920.

Mr. Bublitz owned and operated Bublitz Heating & Air Conditioning Co., retiring in 1972. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Brotherhood of the church.

Surviving are his widow; one son, Floyd Bublitz, Milwaukee; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Janet) Diedrich, Oshkosh; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Gould, Mrs. Tillie Sieloff, and Mrs. Minnie Henning, all of Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gilbert O. Halverson officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Seefeld Eagle Street Chapel Sunday from 3 - 8 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services.

A memorial has been established.

Viola C. Bublitz


Viola C. Bublitz, 100, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 1997 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born February 11, 1897 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Casper and Alvina (Brandenburg) Heinemann. She married Edwin Bublitz on April 21, 1920 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death October 22, 1976.

Surviving are her son, Floyd (Delores) Bublitz of Brookfield; daughter, Janet (Don) Diedrich of Newbury Park, California; sister, Margaret Kaeser of Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Reiter and Marie Gansen and her brother, Edgar Heinemann.

Viola was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church as well as their Mary Martha Circle and Sarah Circle. She belonged to the Sunshine Club and the Women's Benefit Association.

Services for Viola will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels,1025 Oregon Street, the Rev. Thomas McFarland officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the Seefeld Oregon Street Chapel on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the service begins. Memorials to Christ Lutheran Church are appreciated.
