Elmer C. Paepke, 90 of Oshkosh died Monday, Dec. 18, 1995 in Mercy Medical Center. Elmer was born March 8, 1905 in Oshkosh the son of Frederick and Anna Lexow Paepke. He married Ruth Friedrich on Aug. 15, 1936 in Oshkosh. Ruth preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 1981.
Mr. Paepke was manager of the Main Surplus Store, Oshkosh from 1947 to 1967. He was a field representative for General Motors Automotive Corp. in Green Bay, M & I Bank and the Internal Revenue Service in Milwaukee.
Survivors include four children Frederick (Mary) Paepke of St. Cloud, MN, Dr. Charles (Jan) Paepke of Plattsburgh, NY, Marcia Ogden of Madison, Kay (Ron) Jacobson-Bunke of Oshkosh; 13 grandchildren, Julie (Richard) Knopp of Brooklyn Park, MN, Jayne (Robert) Merrila of Golden Valley, MN, Michael Paepke of St. Cloud, MN, Mark (Sara) Paepke of Edina, MN, Mace Paepke of St. Cloud, MN, Steven (Tami) Ogden of De Forest, WI, Timothy (Cindy) Ogsen of Delafield, WI, Jennifer Ogden of Madison, Brett and Bryon Paepke both of Plattsburgh, NY, Chad Bauldry, Chris Jacobson and Jeffrey Bunke all of Oshkosh; and six great grandchildren.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, seven sisters, and one son-in-law Neal Jacobson.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995 at 6:00 PM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) the Rev. Ronald Meier officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 3:00 PM to the time of service.

BERLIN - Mrs. Emma Panetti, 87, of 348 Elm St., died Friday evening at
Berlin Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 25, 1889, in Selby, S.D., the daughter of August and
Emelia Trimm Miller. She married Phillip J. Panetti in June, 1916, at St.
John Lutheran Church in Berlin. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1949.
Mrs. Panetti left Berlin after her marriage. Her husband had been a J.C.
Penney Co. store manager. From 1938 to 1946 Mrs. Panetti and her husband
operated a shoe store in Crookston, Minn. They moved back to Berlin in 1947.
Mrs. Panetti had been a member of St. John Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Viola Stehmacher, Berlin.
Visitation was held Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wiecki Funeral Home.
Services were held today at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church with the
Rev. David R. Meyer officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Sophie H. Petri, 88, of Oshkosh, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 1995 at Pleasant Acres. She was born Jan. 9, 1907 the daughter of Albert and Hanna Hanson. Sophie married William Payne who died on Aug. 8, 1951. She then married Hugo Petri on Sept. 3, 1955 in Oshkosh. Hugo died on Dec. 6, 1965.
Mrs. Petri was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and had worked at Pluswood and then Mercy Medical Center.
Survivors include one son, Walter A. (Norma) Payne; one daughter, Margaret (Vernon) Danke both of Oshkosh, 18 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren. Sophie was preceded in death by one daughter, Marie Nelson; and one brother, Arthur Hanson.
The funeral service will be Wed. Dec. 20, 1995 at 1:30 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside) the Rev. Walter Moll officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, from 11:00 AM to the time of service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial has been established.

Edwin C. Pommerening, 77, of 31 W. Evergreen Ave., Oshkosh, a founder of Lutheran Men of America, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital.
Mr. Pommerening was born in the Town of Black Wolf and was an attorney in Milwaukee from 1925 until his retirement in 1964 when he returned to Oshkosh.
Surviving are his widow, Emily; two sons, Glen, Madison, and Edwin, Marinette; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Simonson, Wauwatosa, and Mrs. Ruth Trowbridge, Green Bay; and a brother, George, Oshkosh.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, with burial at Pinelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral E, 5050 W. Vleet St., Milwaukee, from 5 to 9 p.m. today and at the church after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

DEATH OF MRS. POMRENKE
END COMES AT LOS ANGELES AND THE REMAINS WILL BE BROUGHT HERE FOR INTERMENT
The death of Mrs. Josephine Pomrenke, wife of Max Pomrenke, occurred at Los Angeles, Calif., on Sunday morning. Mrs. Pomrenke was born in Germany, July 14, 1885, and at an early age came to this country and lived in Oshkosh and vicinity, where whe had resided until a year ago, when she left to reside at Los Angeles. She is survived by her husband, Max Pomrenke; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Bauman and Miss Ida Pomrenke, both of Los Angeles; two sons, Herman Pomrenke, of Hettinger, N.D. and A.E. Pomrenke, of this city; also two sisters, Mrs. Albert Klinger of Oshkosh and Mrs. Fred Bernt of Neenah, and two brothers, Herman Fuhs of Oshkosh and Rudolph Fuhs of St. Louis, and a number of grandchildren.
The remains will arrive in this city Friday morning over the Northwestern railroad and will be taken to the Doty Lutheran cemetery, where interment will take place in the family lot. Complete funeral arrangements will be announced later.

POMRENKE -- The funeral of Mrs. Josephine Pomrenke will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Eighth Street Lutheran church. Services will be held from the home of her son, 94 East Lincoln avenue, at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. G.E. Kuhlmann will officiate. Interment will be at the Doty street Lutheran cemetery.

August Procknow, a resident of this city for twenty-two years and one of the early settlers of this section, died at St. Mary's hospital last night of paralysis and old age. He was born in Germany Dec. 3, 1834, and was therefore 35 years of age. He came to this country when a young man and settled on a farm in Kewaunee county when the country was still a dense winderness. He served as a volunteer in the civil war and was a member of the John W. Scott post of the G. A. R. Twenty-two years ago he retired and came to this city to reside. He is survived by four sons, William of this city, Charles of Fond du Lac, Herman of Juda, Wis., and Frank of Luxemburg, Wis.; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed and will be announced later.

PROCKNOW-The funeral of August Procknow, pioneer resident and veteran of the civil war, was held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the funeral home of Fiss & Bills, Rev. H. L. Beck officiating. The services were in charge of the John W. Scott post of the G. A. R., of which organization the deceased was a member. Interment was at Riverside cemetery.

PRIBBERNOW-Mrs. Amelia Pribbernow, wife of August Pribbernow, 317 Otter street, died last night at 9:30 o'clock at the age of 55 years. Heart trouble was the cause of her death. She had been ill for about three weeks. The funeral will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Bowen Street Lutheran church, Rev. Herman Erck officiating. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Irvin and George, both of this city; two daughters, Miss Mayme Pribbernow of this city and Mrs. Emil Holterman of Fort Wayne, Ind.

August Pribbernow, 84, passed away Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at Mercy hospital, after and extended illness.
He was born Feb. 24, 1862, in Germany, and came to the United States 81 years ago. He formerly resided on Otter street, but recently had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Reinert, Route 3, Omro. He was married to the former Amelia Schroeder in 1885. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.
Survivors include four sons, Fred of Michigan, George and Erwin, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and one daughter, Mrs. Fred Reinert. His wife preceded him in death in 1920. A daughter, Mrs. Clara Holterman, also preceded him in death in 1946.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. J. E. Elbert officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside cemetery.
The remains may be viewed from Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock until Wednesday noon at the Konrad funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon until the time of services.

PRIBBERNOW-Funeral services for August Pribbernow were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran church, the Rev. J. E.. Elbert officiating. Burial was at Riverside cemetery. Mrs. Frank Schreiber and Mrs. E. B. Allen sang, with accompaniment by Walter Schriefer. Pallbearers were Herbert and Walter Schroeder, Edwin and Arthur Schroeder, both of Winchester, Frank Metzig, of Larsen, and Robert Pribbernow. Survivors include three sons, Fred, of Saginaw, Mich., George and Erwin, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Reinert, Route 3, Omro; two brothers, Charles, of Winnebago, and Herman, of Zittau; one sister, Mrs. Lena Love, of Oshkosh; and six grandchildren. Immediate relatives attending from out of the city included the sons, Erwin and wife, and George, of Fort Wayne; Fred and wife and family, of Saginaw, Mich.; and a son-in-law, Emil Holterman and son, of Fort Wayne.

Following a lingering illness, Harvey R. Pribbernow, 44, Stony Beach, passed away Tuesday night at 10:30 o'clock at his home.
He was born Oct. 16, 1904, at Zittau, Wis., and had lived at Stony Beach the last 10 years. Mr. Pribbernow was married Nov. 25, 1935, to Euintah Bloom Willson.
A member of the Brewers' union, local No. 90, Mr. Pribbernow had been employed by the Oshkosh Brewing Company for almost 25 years.
Survivors are his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Pribbernow, town of Wolf River; two step-children, Mrs. Glenn Feavel, Chicago, and Herbert, Willson, Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Hubert and Ewald, both of the town of Wolf River; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Spikes & McDonald funeral home, with the Rev. H. O. Kleinhans officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial park. Friends may call at the funeral home from Thursday evening until the services.
