Charles A. Nelson, 82, died Saturday Dec. 15, 2001 at Parkview Health Center-Pavillion. He was born April 19, 1919 in Oshkosh a son of Louis and Alvera Nelsen. On March 7, 1939 he married Helen Grimm in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 1986.
Charles was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Civilian Conservation Corps. He found satisfaction in working with his hands and doing things for others.
He is survived by three daughters Mary Ellen Nelson of Oshkosh, Dorothy Ann (William) Gerth of Oshkosh, Donna J. (Randy) Boris of Manitowoc, four grandchildren Linda, William, Dottie, Rhonda and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Harry, Jim, two sisters Mae, Jane, four half brothers George, Alvin, Charlie, Harold.'
Funeral Services will be held on Monday Dec. 17, 2001 at 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church the Rev. Walter Moll and Rev. Richard Voswinkel officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Earl Nelson, age 76 of Oshkosh went to his eternal rest Monday May 5th
1997 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1920 in Oshkosh the son of
Louis and Alvira Nelson.
Earl married Eleanor Lorraine Friedrick May 26, 1939. She preceded him
in death on May 19, 1955. Also preceding him in death were 6 brothers
Charlie, James, George, Harry, Arthur and Harold, and 2 sisters Mae and June.
Earl served in the U.S. Army Company D 349th Infantry in WWII. He
retired from Universal Foundry and Mercury Marine.
He is survived by one brother Albert, 6 sons Ronald (Judith) Oshkosh,
Gerald (Barbara) Redgranite, Donald (Darlene) Oshkosh, John (Andrea) Pine
River, Steve (Vicki) Omro, Earl (Roxanne) Oshkosh and 3 daughters Judith
Lageman (William) Oshkosh, Sharon Nelson (Darrell) Oshkosh, Patricia
Spletter, Chilton, 32 grand children; 21 great grand children.
Funeral services will be on Thursday May 8, 1997 at Lake View Memorial
Park Chapel, Oshkosh, Wi.
Friends and family may call at the chapel from 9 A.M. until time of the
service at 10:30 A.M. A military salute and taps will follow after the chapel
service at the gravesite.

Mrs. Effie I. Nelson, 93, formerly of 1409 Monroe St., died Saturday at
6:25 p.m. at Park View Health Center.
She was born on Nov. 23, 1883, in Delton, Wis.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Wurn, Oshkosh; one sister, Mrs.
Aletha Velie, New London; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Seefeld Eagle Street

Mrs. Eleanor Nelson, 35, of 820 Pearl St., died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday
in Mercy Hospital after an illness of five weeks.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Friedrich, she was born in Oshkosh
Jan. 28, 1920. She was married to Earl H. Nelson May 30, 1939, in this city.
Besides her parents and husband, she is survived by six sons, Ronald,
Gerald, Donald, John, Steven and Earl Jr.; three daughters, Judith Ann,
Sharon and Patricia; two brothers, Robert and Donald Friedrich; a sister,
Mrs. Marian Nicolaisen; one niece and two nephews, all of Oshkosh. A sister,
Mrs. Dorothy Sommers, preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1953.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home
with the Rev. Leo Oberleiter officiating. Interment will be in Lake View
Memorial Park.

Mrs. Marie (Mickey) Nelson, 41, formerly of 520 Broad St., died Saturday at 8 a.m. at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, following an extended illness.
She was born in Oshkosh on July 29, 1929, daughter of William and Sophie Payne, and was married in Chicago to James R. Nelson on Nov. 22, 1946. Mrs. Nelson had moved to Chicago last September.
Surviving are her widower, Jmes; six sons, James Jr., Randy and Charles Nelson, Chicago, William, Michael and John W. Nelson, Oshkosh; three daughters, Misses Ruth, Kathy and Debra Nelson, Chicago, her mother in Oshkosh; one brother, Walter Payne, Oshkosh; and one grandchild.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Nelson, pastor of South Side Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Harry L. Nelson, 65, Oshkosh, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 1990, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Oshkosh, a son of Louis and Ella Hansen Nelson. He married Judy A. Beyer.
Harry worked at the Lenox Candle Co. for 25 years and most recently for ASA Freight System. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He served in the Army during World War II.
His survivors include his wife, Judy of Oshkosh; a daughter, Diane Nelson and her friend, Brian Besaw, both of Oshkosh; a son-in-law, Don Schwartz of De Pere; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles Albert (Betty) Nelson and Earl Nelson all of Oshkosh, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bud and Arlyle Beyer of Oshkosh; three special pals, his dog, Brandy, his cat, Callie, and a bird, D.B.; and all his special friends and family.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Schwartz; his parents; three brothers, George Nelsen, Charles Nelsen, and James Nelson; two sisters, Jane Keller and Maye Rockow; and three half-brothers Alvin, Arthur and Harold Kerwin.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 1990, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Asuma officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lake View Memorial Park.

NEENAH - Mrs. James (Ruth) Nelson, 72, of 518 Washington Ave., Neenah, died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday Mrs. Nelson had been ill for the past three months.
She was born in Stanley on April 7, 1897, and had been a resident of Neenah for more than 50 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Neenah.
Surviving are the widower, one niece and one nephew.
The Rev. John E. Bouquet, D.D., will officiate at the Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah, at 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Wayne F. Nelson, 47, of 211 Foster St., died Tuesday at 7 a.m. at St. Mary Hospital, Milwaukee. He had been ill six weeks.
He was born in Oshkosh on May 16, 1925, son of Francis and Rena Nelson, and was married here to Miss June Siewert on July 29, 1944.
Mr. Nelson was employed as a construction worker at Ben B. Ganther Co. He served with the Coast Guard during World War II, and was a member of Algoma Boulevard Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, June; one son, James Nelson, Oshkosh; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Schettle, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Glenn (Leah) Hepfner, Sussex; his parents in Oshkosh; three sisters, Mrs. George Harris, in Florida, Mrs. Roy Buhrow and Mrs. Douglas Bringman, Oshkosh; and three grandchildren.

NEUBAUER - Mrs. Charlotte Neubauer, 126 Park avenue, died at an early hour this morning. She was born at Hamburg, Germany, July 7, 1850, celebrating her sixty-second birthday anniversary last Sunday. There are surviving the following children: Mrs. Peter Kirsh, Mrs. John Robl, and Arthur, Stella, Emma, Grace, and Mildred Neubauer. There is also a brother, Henry Egger of Chicago; a sister who resides at Berlin Germany, besides seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be held Saturday, at 9 a.m. from St. Mary's church, Rev. R. Scholter officiating. The remains are to be laid to rest at Riverside cemetery.

Julius Neubauer, aged 85 years, resident of Neenah for 57 years, died at 3:40
o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George L.
Littlefield, 123 Jackson Street, with whom he had been living. Death
followed a 10 week's illness. Mr. Neubauer was born July 24, 1854, in West
Prussia, Germany. He was a member of the Germania Benevolent society.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Louise Hanke, Neenah; Miss Clara
Neubauer, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Littlefield; three sons, William, Sr.,
Charles and Herman Neubauer; all of Neenah; a sister, Mrs. Emily Hoffmann,
Neenah; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the
Sorensen funeral home, Rev. W.R. Courtenay, pastor of the First Presbyterian
Church,

Mrs. Mima Newton, 79, a resident of Omro Care Center died there Sunday after an extended illness.
She was born in December 1899 in Shawano, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Gaffner. She was married to Arthur Henry Newton, May 2, 1912, in Spokane, Wash. He preceded her in death, Dec. 12, 1930.
Surviving are four sons, Niel, Chicago, Wayne, San Antonio, Texas and Edwin and Ralph, both of Milwaukee; four daughters, Mrs. R.J. (Thiel) Kempf, Winneconne, Mrs. John (Edith) Abhold, Clintonville and Mrs. Lester (Donna) Dehn and Mrs. Vernon (Dorothy) Piel, both of Milwaukee; 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Arnold L. "Arnie" Nicolaison, age 73, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully at Park View Health Center on Sunday, October 8, 1995. He was born November 27, 1921 in Waupaca Co. to Nicolai and Myrtle (Hanson) Nicolaison. On June 19, 1954 he married Myrtle M. Schiessl in Oshkosh.
Mr. Nicolaison was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a private painting contractor in Oshkosh for many years and also a member of the American Legion Cook-Fuller Post No. 70 after serving his country in World War II. Arnie enjoyed fishing, taking long rides in his car and loved his cats.
Survivors include, his wife Myrtle Nicolaison, a son Richard Nicolaison of Omro, a sister Ardyth "Ardy" Lokken of Oshkosh and nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son Kirk Ellis Nicolaison and a sister Betty James.
Services will be on Wednesday, October 11th at 10:00 A.M. at SEEFELD FAMILY OF FUNERAL CHAPELS, 1025 Oregon St. with Rev. Donald Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. Earl H. Nicolaisen, age 87, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, December
12, 1999. Earl was born September 15, 1912 in Chicago, a son of the late
Henry and Carrie (Oleson) Nicolaisen. He married the former Rose L. Roberts
on April 29, 1936 in Waupaca.
Surviving are his bride of 63 years, Rose Nicolaisen of Oshkosh,
children, Barbara (Jim) Stahl of Reedsville. Earl (Shirley) Nicolaisen Jr.
and Betty (Steve) Ploetz both of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Garry Wittchow,
Susan Wittchow both of Oshkosh, Jeff Stahl of Little Chute, Tammy (Gary)
Piotter of Weyauwega, Vicky (Mark) Wenzel of Oshkosh, Steve (Cory) Ploetz
stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and Scott Ploetz stationed at
Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jason and
Josh Wittchow, Leah Jo Piotter, Sarah Wenzel, Alex, Nicolas, Kyle and Tavlor
Ploetz; brother, Ervin Nicolaisen and sister, Florence Bauer both in Waupaca;
along with several nieces and nephews.
Earl and Rose resided in Waupaca for many years. They moved to Oshkosh
in 1948. Earl retired from the Paine Lumber Company after which they lived in
Florida for 13 years. They moved back to Oshkosh to be close to their family.
Earl was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, He will be remembered as an avid
racecar fan.
Services for Earl will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 16th,
at Zion Lutheran Church, 400 N. Sawyer Street, the Rev. Clyde Friedman
officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends
may call at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N. Eagle Street on
Wednesday from 4-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday beginning at 10:00

She was born in Ogdensburg, Waupaca County, on April 23, 1900, and was married on Nov. 25, 1920, to Nicolai Nicolaison, who preceded her in death in October, 1956.

Nicolai Nicolaison, 66, of 132 Fulton St., died Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. at Wood, Wis. He had been in failing health for three years and was at the veterans hospital in Wood for one week.
He was born Jan. 11, 1890, in Waupaca, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Nicolaison and had been a resident of Oshkosh since 1942. He was married in Waupaca on Nov. 25, 1920, to Miss Myrtle Hanson. He was a veteran of World War I.
Mr. Nicolaison was a member of First Methodist Church, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Teamsters and Chauffeurs Local Union 126.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Arnold Nicolaison, Oshkosh, two daughters, Mrs. Raymond James and Mrs. Terrence Lokken, Oshkosh; three brothers, Peter Nicolaison, Oshkosh, Anker and Joseph Nicolaison, Waupaca; one sister, Mrs. Guy Benjamin, Waupaca; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. T. Leonard Elde, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. Ethel M. Nigl, age 70, of Oshkosh died Wednesday evening Nov 22, 1995 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Oshkosh the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Rieben Eiler. Ethel married Harold Nigl in Oshkosh on May 7, 1948. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Ethel is survived by her husband; Harold, 3 sons: Daniel Oshkosh, Russel San Diego, CA, Douglas (Michelle) Oshkosh; 2 daughters, Barbara (David) Darnick Oshkosh, Susan (LeRoy Jr) Schoenauer Oshkosh; 2 brothers, Jack (Shirley) Eiler Oshkosh, Arthur Eiler Oshkosh; 1 sister, Shirley (Glen) Durocher, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Kristy Darnick, Matthew Darnick, Joshua Nigl, Jacob Nigl, Kurt Schoenauer.
