Arthur Ackerman Dies at Residence
Arthur J. Ackerman, 61, of 112 W. 17th Ave., died Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. at his home following a lingering illness.
A lifelong resident of Oshkosh, he was born here on April 16, 1898, and was married to Miss Sadie Geiger on June 16, 1919.
Mr. Ackerman had been employed for 20 years by Oshkosh Sausage Company before his retirement in 1957. He was a member of United Evangelical and Reformed Church, Oshkosh Lodge 27 of Masons and Odd Fellows.
Surviving are his wife, Sadie, three brothers, Ervin, Harold and Elmer Ackerman, Oshkosh. One brother preceded him in death.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at United Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the Rev. James Bettin officiating. Masonic rites will be conducted at the grave in New Elm Cemetery.
Friend may call at Marquardt Funeral Home from Friday at 4 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday and at the church on Saturday form noon until the hour of services.

Prominent Resident of the Town of Omro Answers the Final Call
Mrs. Eurydice Allen passed away Oct. 10, after an illness of several weeks, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Lloyd, in the town of Omro. The deceased was born June 28, 1859, and is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Hart of Winneconne, Mrs. Charles Lloyd of the town of Omro and Mrs. Addie Hall of Murfreesboro, Tenn. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of Charles Lloyd, with Rev. F. C. Zoerb officiating and burial in the Eureka cemetery.
NOTE: Eurydice was the daughter of Alanson Clifford & Mary Jane Melton, and the widow of Thomas Allen.

Thomas Allen was born May 9, 1834, and departed this life at the home of his son-in-law, Marion S. Foreman, on Pierson street, Sunday, December 21, 1913, aged 78 years, 7 months and 12 days.
The deceased was united in marriage to Uyradice Clifford in 1879. To this union were born six children, two of whom preceded the father to the world beyond the grave. A wife and four daughters survive him. They are Mrs. Allen, the widow, whose home is at Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Mrs. Esther A. Lloyd, also of Oshkosh; Mrs. Ada B. Hall, of Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Mary A. Foreman, of Greenfield, at whose home he died, and Miss Bertie May Allen whose address is unknown.
NOTE: Thomas' wife's name was Eurydice, she was the daughter of Alanson Clifford & Mary Jane Melton.

ELAINE I. ANDERSEN
Elaine I. Andersen, age 69, died Sunday morning, August 11, 1996, at Omro Care Center, Omro, WI. She was born March 11, 1927 in Neenah, the daughter of the late Albert and Johanna (Hansen) Ihrig. Elaine graduated from Winneconne High School, and on June 7, 1947 she was married to Vernon G. Andersen in Winchester. Vernon and Elaine made their home in Winneconne their entire married lifetime.
Elaine was employed as an aide and counselor at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute, retiring after 32 years of service. She was a member of St Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church of Winneconne, and was a past member of the Women's Guild. She was a member of the Winneconne Auxiliary Post 364, and she has served on the Election Board for the Village of Winneconne.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon of Winneconne, two sons and one daughter-in-law; John Andersen and Allen and Karla Andersen, all of Winneconne, two daughters and sons-in-law; Joey and Jerry Wenzel of Winneconne and Elisabeth "Beth" and David Meilahn of Fond du Lac. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Kathryn (Tim) Sullivan of Genesse, WI, LcPl Michael Wenzel of Camp LeJeune, NC, Kristen Wenzel of Winneconne, Jasen and Scott Andersen of Winneconne, and Megan and Rebecca Meilahn of Fond du Lac.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers; Leonard and Erwin Ihrig.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 14, 1996 at 11:00 A.M. at St Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne, with Pastor John Covach and Pastor Mark Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Winneconne Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, Tuesday, from 4 until 8 P.M. They may continue to call at the church on Wednesday, from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

MRS MARY ANDREWS
WINNECONNE -- Mrs. Mary Henrietta Andrews, 58, died suddenly at her home in Two Rivers Thursday morning.
She was born Dec 15, 1902, in Butte des Morts, daughter of the late Oura and Lavina Benedict. She was educated in Butte des Morts School, and was married to Earl Andrews, who died in November of 1960. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses at Two Rivers.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Braun, Illinois, and Mrs Alice Richard, Two Rivers; two sons, Dexter and Albert; three brothers, Cyrus, Raymond and Warren Benedict, all of Butte des Morts; three sisters, Mrs Clara Perry, Bellevue, Ill, Mrs Vivian Starkey, Two Rivers, and Mrs Lavina Schneider, Oshkosh, and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by her Two Rivers pastor at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening.

James Armstrong, 69, dies after long illness
Neenah � James Armstrong, 69, of Route 1, Neenah, died this morning after an extended illness. He was born April 5, 1880 in the town of Vinland and lived in the town of Neenah most of his life. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, he was a former member of the town board of Neenah and of Allenville Grange. He was also a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Spanbauer and Miss Zelpha Armstrong of Neenah; four sons, Earl, of Butte des Morts, and Arnold, Allen and James of Neenah; a brother, John, of Oshkosh; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Williams and Mrs. Martha Jensen of Neenah, and Mrs. Neal Schumacher of Iron Mountain, Mich., six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o�clock Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church, the Rev. Roy Steen officiating, and burial will be at Brooks Cemetery. Friends may call at the Westgor funeral home from 7 o�clock Friday night until Saturday.
