Obit- Kienast, William Gustave, pioneer farmer, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday afternoon at 4:45, after an illness of 2 weeks duration, at the age of 83. Mr. Kienast was born in Germany, April 6, 1946, and when but a child of 4 years came with his parents to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, were he grew to Young manhood. He was married to May Ann Bonnett, at Vinland, Wisconsin, Feb 03, 1866. in 1885 they moved to Magnolia, Minnesota, where they farmed until 1898. in that year they came to Wetonka and in Jan. 1916 the family came to Aberdeen, Marking their home at 610 S. $4th St. He Leaves to mourn beside his wife, 5 sons and 1 Daughter; Charles W. Kienast of Magnolia, Minnesota; Henry J. Kienast of Shawano, Wisconsin; Albert J. Kienast of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; William G. Kienast of Mitchell; Oscar C. Kienast of Wetonka, and C.L. Weaver of Indianapolis, Indiana. One Daughter preceded him 19 Years Ago. Funeral Services will be Held At Luverne, Minnesota, On Sunday And burial will be made at Maple wood Cemt.

Obit- April 11,1938- Former Local Women Dies In South Dakota- Mrs. Mary Kienast, a resident of Oshkosh and the town of Nekimi for many years, passed away at 3;30 monday afternoon at the home of a son, William Kienast, At Mitchell, S.D., according to information received by relatives here. Mrs. Kienast had suffered a stroke of paralysis. Born in the town of Nekimi in 1851, the deceased was the daughter of the late John & Margaret Bonnett. She married William Kienast in 1867 in the Town of Vinland. The couple went to S.D. to reside about 12 years ago and Mr. Kienast passed away about 6 years ago. surviving are 5 sons and a daughter, Charles of Magnolia, Minn., William of Mitchell, S.D., Oscar and Henry of Wetonka S.D., Albert of Oshkosh, Wi., and Mrs. Mamie Weaver of Indianapolis, Indiana; 6 sisters and 2 brothers, Mrs. Lottie cowling, Mrs. Hannah Wallace, Mrs. Margaret Leonard, Mrs. Tillie Leonard, Mrs. Emma Dougherty, Mrs. Alice Struensee and Joseph and Ben Bonnett, All of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. funeral services and burial will be held at LaVern, Minnesota, Thursday

Mr. Kienast was a retired salesman and had worked for a chemical company in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born Aug. 24,1973, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Mr. Kienast engaged in Wheat Farming and as a rancher, selling Insurance, and later feed and mineral Food. Following his retirement, he moved to Aberdeen. Surviving are his wife; 9 daughters, Mrs. Charles Perry, Montello, Mrs. Leroy Brilliott, Milwaukee; Mrs,Inez Keene and Mrs. Sylvester Gronowski, Oshkosh; Mrs. Myron Cole, Annadale, VA.; Mrs. Floyd Pray, Groten, S.D.; Mrs. Milton Pulling, Ipswich S.D.; Mrs. Robert Pray, Gronton S.D.; and Miss Carol Kienast, Aberdeen; 2 brothers, Albert Kienast, Oshkosh; and Oscar Kienast, Aberdeen; 1 sister, Mrs. M.J. Also Surviving are 15 grandchildren and 2 great grand children. Mrs. Kienast was preceded in death by a daughter, Florence, who passed away in 1926. Funeral Services will be at 2 Monday at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Nielsen of Our Savior's English Lutheran Church officiating.
