There is a small marker for Mary Decorah, 1884�1911, but in 1970, after the re-construction of County Trunk XX, the Loyal 4-H Club erected a large sign, :Lest we forget, here lied Mary Decorah, born 1884 and died 1911. A tribute to our early American Indian Heritage.�

Many Indians lived in this area many years age, as they were employed in the cranberry harvest which was a big industry at the time. The marker for this young Indian maiden was found when the highway was being relocated.
