Three Lakes Genealogical Society Minutes Ð April 25, 2016 Members Present: June McDuffie, Irene Farkas, Robert Killick, Charlene Roberts, Les Anderson, Nancy Brewster, Robert Bailey Vice-President Nancy Brewster called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m. The minutes of the March meeting were approved. Treasurer Robert Bailey presented the TreasurerÕs report. Old Business: ¥ Robert Bailey gave a summary of the March meeting presentation by Mike Lehman of Integrated Imaging, Inc., on the ScanPro microfilm scanner. He also passed out a summary page to those present and which will be sent out along with these minutes. The library wishes to replace their old microfilm scanner with new technology. They have the funds available for the lowest end ScanPro (the 1100 model) which costs $7,899, but they would like to purchase the upper end model because of its functions and features, which would be an additional $4,772. The library would also need a computer/monitor/printer for the system. As of now the library believes they have a printer that could be used. At the March meeting the TLGS Board suggested that a $500 donation be made by the TLGS to the Three Lakes Public Library Foundation (TLPLF) to be applied to that computer system. After discussion a motion was placed on the floor by Robert Bailey and 2nd by Charlene Roberts: ÒThe Three Lakes Genealogical Society should donate $500 to the TLPLF for the microfilm scanner project.Ó The motion passed unanimously. The Board also wishes that anyone who would like to support this project to make a tax deductible donation to the TLPLF (PO Box 283, Three Lakes, WI 54562), and designate in the ÒmemoÓ of the check Òmicrofilm scanner.Ó We have talked with Erica Brewster and have come to an agreement that any additional monies donated for this project that are above the amount need for the computer system would be applied to the upgrade cost of the ScanPro itself. If you would like to review the ScanPro equipment and function, please go to the web site: http://www.e-imagedata.com ¥ Bob passed around his family genealogy book that he had printed through the Allen County library, in Ft. Wayne, IN. He will bring it again at future meetings for others to see. ¥ Les Anderson questioned at the March meeting who was monitoring the TLGS email address. Charlene stated she was and would continue to do so unless someone else would like to. New Business: None Going around the room successes and brick walls were discussed by those present. The meeting was adjourned at 2:40.
