William Singer, Shawano, Dies at age of 100

 

William I Singer, Rt. 2, Shawano, who was 100 years old, died Thur, May 10 after an illness of 1 month.

Mr Singer was born Apr 13, 1873 in Albany, NY.  He was a former employee of the City of Shawano, retiring at the age of 73 years.  He married Anna Ruche on May 27, 1903 at Shawano.  She died in 1955.  He was a member of St James Lutheran Church.

Survivors are 3 sisters and 1 brother, Mrs Amelia Salzman, Mrs Minnie Kupsky and Mrs Anna Cowles, all of Shawano and Herman Singer, of Rt. 3, Shawano.  Five brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death besides his wife.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 1:30 pm at St James Lutheran Church, Shawano.  The Rev C E Beyer will officiate and interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Karth-Kopitzke Funeral Home after 3 pm on Fri until 10 am Saturday and then at the church until the time of the service.
