Over the years, Betty Martz has been accumulating an extensive collection of obits. She has organized them by making an index alphabetically using the woman's maiden name and then a cross referencing for the ladies with their married names. She is willing to put up just the index up and if someone wants the obit they can email her for it.

This will be an ongoing project as she can access the newspaper archives and can copy obits from the Stevens Point Journal. The newspapers go back to 1878 but she hasn't found any in the really early papers.

She has started with 1966 and has all obituaries pertaining to her family and a few others, plus weddings and anniversaries.

She is also willing to lookup obits in the Stevens Point Daily Journal if they are not listed on her index.

Keep in mind photocopying and mailing costs when making requests.
