Graf, Sr. Answers Last Call: "Chas. GRAF passed away Thursday morning at the home of his son, Charles in the town of Nasewaupee.  Mr. GRAF was taken ill about a month ago when he was induced by his son to go out and make his home with him until he felt better.  He grew steadily worse, however, the stomach trouble with which he was affected being more serious than was at first thought.  Mr. GRAF was born in Germany on 1 Apr 1835, and in 1851 emigrated with his parents to America, locating in Ozaukee County.  In 1860 he was married at Port Washington, and sixteen children was the result of the union, eleven of whom survive, the wife and mother having passed away some ten years ago.  The children are:  Charles GRAF of Nasewaupee, Adolph GRAF of Duluth, Minn., Mrs. Mary BLESI, of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Louisa FISCHER of Gardner, Mrs. Delia SSPUDA and Mrs. Emily SPALSBURY of this ward, John and Gustav GRAF of Egg Harbor, George, Frank and Jacob of Nasewaupee, the last three named making their home on the old home.  Mr. GRAF for a number of years past has lived in this ward, where he purchased a house and retired from the pursuits of farming.  He was engaged in the real estate business for some time.  He was always highly respected for his many good qualities, honesty and integrity, and in his death the community loses a good citizen.  The funeral was held from the home of Charles GRAF on Sunday, services being held at the house and church, conducted by Rev. BRANDT of the German M. E. Church at Sawyer.  A large number of friends and neighbors attended the obsequies.  All the members of the family."
