This Index Page is for the Town of Forestville which includes Pages 46 to 51 in Martin's History of Door County-1881. There have been some added clarifications, for instance state or county references, have been added in italics for researchers when known. Much of the information that is in MARTIN's History of Door County is included here in this index but has been put in sequence by date when possible to help researchers.
Chas. I. MARTIN was not infallible, there are some errors in his volume. However, his History of Door County is a wonderful resource-as a starting place for family researchers in early Door County. Please use it as a starting place to do research through records.
Whenever a transcription is made, errors are possible. Because of that I hope you will check MARTIN's "HISTORY of DOOR COUNTY-1881" original pages.-Sue HOHNEKE
