"Here is one photo you can feel free to publish - it is the family of my great-grandparents.  My grandmother is their daughter, Emma VISTE, who married Ole C. RYE.
Circa 1895 family photo of Engebret & Berit/Bertha VISTE - all members of Forest Lutheran Church, at Carnot in the town of Forestville, Wisconsin.  They farmed in the Town of Ahnapee (rural Algoma), in Kewaunee County, Wisconsin, just south of the Door & Kewaunee County line.
Back row left to right: Oscar, Matilda, Emma, Mary, Lena.
Front row left to right: Edwin, Engebret, Amanda, Berit, Ella.
The story is that Amanda wanted to hold the cat, but was told no. So, she mussed up her hair. Interesting that the cat ends up in the lap of her mother!"

"The TANUM Church - at Vignes/Town of Clay Banks - VISTE family info is all from recent research, and certainly NOT proven, but w/hints from other trees on Ancestry, here is some "sketchy-at-best" results of my research of the TANUM Viste Family Tree.  If anyone has knowledge of any of these families, I sure would welcome hearing from them!"
