 STONEMAN FAMILY-abt 1875

BEFORE and AFTER RETOUCH PHOTO

updated 4 Feb 2009

The following is a photo that was shared to the PGS by Ron HEILMAN in Nov 2007 of

THE John and Mary (VIRNIE)(VIRNIA)(VINIA) STONEMAN Family - about 1875 - who were farmers living in the Town of Forestville, Door County, Wisconsin.

"Standing: Left to Right: William, Amelia, Luke, George, Joseph and John"

Sitting: Left to Right: John STONEMAN, two unknown children, and Mary (VIRNIE)(VIRNIA)(VINIA) STONEMAN

(For more information on this family go to:  DOOR COUNTY FOLKS Page on our PGS Website.

The photograph was a very light image, having faded away over the years, had been defaced by someone using a pencil to put holes where the eyes were in each of the individuals (or poking them out). Sue HOHNEKE has attempted to retouch the photograph using Picture-It Software.

The following are the original image Ron sent to us and the retouched image.  We hope that this is helpful to those who have family ties to the family!

Computer software for retouching photographs is a wonderful thing!

Thank you, Ron HEILMAN, for sharing this photograph of your early Door Co. Ancestors!
