| Kaukauna Times, Kaukauna, WI, Sept. 10, 1909 FREEDOM NOTES John DONAHUE, of Milwaukee, Mrs. James McCARTHY, of St. Paul, Minn., accompanied the remains of their mother to this place where she was buried from St. Nicholas' church Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. DONAHUE died at the home of her daughter in St. Paul. She was one of the pioneer residents of this place, having lived here up to ten years ago. Mr. and Mrs. John M. GARVEY attended the funeral of Mrs. GARVEY's aunt, Mrs. W. HILLEGAN, at Mackville Monday. Sister MENESSA, for the past two years teacher of the kindergarten here, was called to fill a like position at Grand Rapids. Her place here is taken by Sister BENIGNA. Katie GARVEY left Monday for Milwaukee where she will attend the Notre Dame academy. John WILLIAMSON is at Minneapolis this week attending the State Fair. Miss Katherine PENDERGAST returned to her home at Antigo after spending two weeks with her grandfather, J. COFFEY. Alfred VANDEHEY of Hollandtown is visiting his sister, Mrs. J. COFFEY. Kaukauna Times, Kaukauna, WI, Sept 30, 1909 Mrs. Judson G. ROSEBUSH left today for Chicago. Sol P. HUNTINGTON was up from Green Bay last night. John McNAUGHTON returned form Chicago last night. M. SCHLICHTER of Neenah, was here on business today. Mrs. A. R. JOHNSTON is spending the week in Beaver Dam. Attorney G. H. PUTNAM, of New London, is attending court here. M. M. SCHOETZ of Menasha, was an Appleton visitor this morning. Mrs. Martin WIEGAND is entertaining a number of friends this afternoon. The condition of Mrs. Louis SELIG, who is at St. Elizabeth's hospital, is improving nicely. J. B. WHITE and F. WHEELER, of this city, have been granted a patent on a machine for feeding can tops. KAUKAUNA NEWS Announcements of the approaching nuptials of Joseph J. HEUP, of this city, to Miss Viola KING, of Oshkosh have been received here. Their marriage will take place next Monday at the bride's home in Oshkosh. They will reside in Kaukauna where the groom is employed by Grocer Fred KONRAD. Mrs. W. S. MULFORD formerly a member of the Woman's club in this city, has been elected to the position of secretary of a woman's club at Peoria, where she now resides, with a membership of 450. The club is composed of influential members who own their own club house that cost $20,000. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John VERKEILEN, aged five months, was buried from Holy Cross church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. J. P. LOCHMAN officiating. Mrs. Richard McCARTHY left yesterday for Appleton to spend a week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John MERKEL. Mrs. William HALSEY is at Lincoln, Neb. visiting relatives for two weeks. William HYLAND won another first prize on his colt at the Seymour fair last week. Miss E. FELLER who was at Chicago attending a dressmaker's convention has returned and opened her dressmaking parlors on Wisconsin avenue. Miss Blanche TANNER who was at Green Bay visiting Miss Agnes BLACK returned yesterday. I have recently purchased the Otto RUSHAM grocery store, 684 Richmond street, where I will keep constantly on hand everything in the grocery line, fresh eggs, teas, coffees, vegetables, fancy groceries, etc. I would be pleased to meet all the old customers and any new ones.
