I am NOT a professional certified researcher, but I have done much research within Marathon County for many ancestor hunters. I have access to the Marathon County Library, Register of Deeds, Historical Society Library, and the Archives at the U-W Stevens Point for naturalizaion records.

Cemetery Inscriptions and Records

Vital Records ( Birth, Marriage and Death) about 1852 to present. Registration is estimated at about 50%. Records were not required to be registered until 1907.

I charge a fee of $20.00 an hour, plus expenses such as parking, photocopies, and postage. If I find a certificate, and you want a non-certified copy, there is an additional charge of 

$20.00 for birth, death and marriage certificates. This is the fee the Register of Deeds sets, and I pay this fee to them.

For research of Naturalization records at Stevens Point, there is an additional charge of $20.00, for my travel expenses, plus time.  You can also contact them yourself and I will tell you how!

I do not need payment in advance. So far, I have found most genealogists are honest people.

I can give you an approximate estimate of the fee, depending on what you need. Please e-mail me ( Shelley Green) with as much information as possible that you already have, and exactly what you want to find. This will cut down on the time I will need to spend on your research.
