C.E. ASCHENBRENNERS TO OBSERVE SIXTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Casper E. Aschenbrenner will observe their sixtieth wedding

anniversary Sunday, May 8. Fifty-four of their sixty years of married life

have been spent in Stratford, they moving to the village in 1895 from

Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Aschenbrenner were both born in Austria, he in 1867 and she in

1868. Mr. Aschenbrenner came to this country in 1883, settling in Blenker,

Mrs. Aschenbrenner came to this country in 1883, a year earlier, settling

at Manitowoc. They were married at Blenker May 8, 1889, and for a time

lived at Marshfield prior to coming to Stratford. Mr. Aschenbrenner had

been an employee of the Connor company since they moved to Stratford in 1895.

There were thirteen children born to Mr. and Mrs. Aschenbrenner. Two,

Olive and Casper died when they were small, and Carl drowned nineteen years

ago at Fond du Lac. The other children are Edward of Rochester, New York;

Casper, Sand Point, Idaho; Rudy, Victor and Mrs. L. P. Smith of Milwaukee;

Frank of Loana; Mrs. C. E. Wesslen, Athens; Mrs. A. J. Wix Stratford and

Aloys of Schofield.

A Thanksgiving High Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic church

in observance of the occasion.

The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Aschenbrenner extend congratulations to

them and wish them many more happy years of married life.
