REUNION OF COMPANY K
VETERANS OF THE GREAT REBELLION MEET FOR PLEASURE

A Two Days Session Held - Big Spread Entertains Them Monday Night -
The Officers Elected - Meet Again Next Year

Monday and Tuesday of this week, there was a reunion of the surviving members of Company K, 6th, Wis. regiment of the war of the rebellion. Outside of the sadness natural to such occasions, bringing forward as they do rememberances of comrades who have gone forever, the old veterans had a splendid time.  The G.A.R. hall was kept open during the two days, making it headquarters for the visiting veterans. Monday evening the ladies of the W.R.C. and wives of members of the G.A.Rr. post served supper to the Co. K. boys, in the parlors of the M.E. church. Some of those present had not seen others of their old company for thirty years and the hours were filled with stories of their careers, past experiences and reminiscences.

J. L. Barney was elected president of the association, D. J. Miller, vice president and Frank Wilcox, of Lemonweir, secretary and treasurer.  The next annual meeting of the association will be held in this city.

The following old members were present: Wm. Patterson, J. Barney, S. J. Noble, T. Ellsworth, S. O. Stillson, D. J. Miller, A. H. Rolfe, H. Trumble, J. Rodger, Erastus Smith, Wm. Van Wie, Eugene Anderson, L. Pratt, D. Van Wie, F. Wilcox, W. Garland, F. E. Boynton, C. A. Crawford, J. Sullivan; Co. D, J. Brady, J. Miner; Co. I, Le Grand Tongue.
