The Mauston Star
13 Apr 1882
It is reported that there will be eight saloons opened here this spring.
The town license is $150 for each saloon.
The village officers intend they shall live up strictly to the law in every particular.

The Mauston Woolen Mills was sold by C. E. Anderson to E. Stickler of Onalaska,
who will install new machinery for the manufacture of skirt clothes, dress goods, and all
kinds of woolen goods. - Posselt's Textile Journal, May 1910, p. xxv

Mauston, Wis.  - John Stickler has succeeded his father E. Stickler, as proprietor of the
Mauston Woolen Mill.   Posselt's Textile Journal, Dec 1910, p. xv (15)
