Vedder; resided there until 21 years of age, then moved to Chautauqua Co.; lived there ten years. Married Eliza J. Dagget; his first wife died; he then married Susan Hogle in 1839, a daugher of Andrew and Hannah Hogle; has six children, two by his first wife, and four by his present wife; has been on the Town Board two terms, and member of School Board four terms; has 160 acres of land, valued at $5,000. Politics, Republican.
