Koshkonong/Perry Twp.

Hans Olsen and Mari Larsdatter (ancestors & descendants). Hans and Mari lived in Nes, Romerike, Norway. Mari died in Norway but Hans immigrated to Wisconsin in 1853. He first settled in Koskonong area and then to the Perry (Daleyville area) and many of his children followed. The family can be traced back to about 1200 to Audun Toresson of Sarpsborg. There are possibly 1-2000 descendents of Hans and Mari and most in southern Wisconsin.  For more info, please e-mail Wayne Dahl Iverson.

Private Robert Richards Jr. wrote letters (30 typed pages) to his sister, Caroline Richards (later Caroline McIntyre). He also mentions brother Fred and half-sister Harriet. I just put them online at our web site. Click on Family History and you'll be led to the letters. They both grew up in Dane Co. Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Death List, 4th Edition

The Sun Prairie Historical Library Museum & Board authorized this project and making it available on the web-site. This is the fourth edition of the obituary project. Since the first trial publication on May 6, 1996, thousands of additions and changes have been made to the original text. A new edition will be printed during 2002. The new edition will include a map to the cemeteries. The Museum is involved in a long-range project of photographing cemetery markers for use in this project. Memorial cards are also being entered into the project when cards are donated to the Museum.

Records include some of the following cemeteries: Sun Prairie Cemetery Records, Sacred Hearts Cemetery; St. Joseph’s Cemetery in East Bristol; York and Medina cemeteries; Pierceville Cemetery; Bristol Methodist Cemetery; Sweet Cemetery which is also known as the Quarry Cemetery and the Town of Bristol Cemetery; Burke Lutheran Cemetery; Hoepker Cemetery; Town of Burke Cemetery; Cottage Grove Cemetery; Windsor Congregational Cemetery; German Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Token Creek Cemetery; Bristol Lutheran Cemetery; Burke Station; Deansville; and Burial Permits from the Sun Prairie Cemetery 1921-1997).

Clist Family Bible Records

I am in the possession of a family Bible record of the Clist family. It
says (in part):
Robert Clist came from England to the U.S. in 1837.
M.A.C. (I assume his wife, Mary Ann Craig) came from Scotland to the
U.S. in 1855.
