Mrs.
Catherine Gruselle, 81, formerly
of 1156
Reber St., Green Bay,
died Saturday
at a local nursing home of a long illness.
The
daughter of the late Harvey and
Theresa Sargent was born in Oshkosh April
2,
1904. She married
George Gruselle Sept.
7, 1926,
at St. Peter and Paul Church.
Mr.
Gruselle preceded her in death
Feb. 13, 1982. Mrs.
Gruselle
was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Ladies Alter Society and
was a volunteer worker at the parish office.
She
was a former Girl Scout leader
and a member of the Women's
Catholic Order of Foresters Court
985. She devoted
her time
to the Parkview Manor Nursing Home as a volunteer.
She enjoyed
sewing and gardening for many years until the time of her illness.
She
is survived by three sons and
daughters-in-law, Ronald and
Laura Gruselle, John (Jack) and Jean Gruselle, and Thomas and Cindee
Gruselle, all of Green Bay;
one daughter and son-in-law, Joan
and James Matzke of Green Bay;
17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren;
three brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey and
Footie Sargent of Florida;
Earl and Pearl
Sargent of Illinois,
Clarendon (Clud) and Marie Sargent of Green Bay; one
sister-in-law,
Mrs. Loretta Sargent of Green Bay;
and nieces and nephews.
She
was preceded in death by two
brothers, John and Leland (Lee)
Sargent; and one sister, Mary Jane Bucy. Entombment in the
Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
