Obituary of Joseph E. Marchant - September 16, 1984

Joseph E Marchant, 86, 1589 Morrow St, died Friday afternoon at a local nursing home following a long illness.  He was born in Dykesville, March 12, 1898, to the late Edmund and Mary Marchant.  He married the former Edna Andre in 1918 and she preceded him in death March 24, 1941.  Mr. Marchant was employed by Proctor and Gamble Paper Products for 48 years until 1963.  He was also in partnership in the Marchant and Rasmussen Service Station at the corners of Main and Elizabeth St.  On Jan 5, 1963, he married the former Clara (Connelly) Renard, in Green Bay.  Mr Marchant was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church.  Survivors include his wife, one stepson, Richard Connelly, Green Bay, two step daughters, Mrs Patricia Rasmussen and Mrs. Joan Budde, both of Green Bay, one grandson, three great grand children, 16 step grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Rasmussen, in 1974, and a sister, Gladys Marchant.  Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home.  Funeral at SS Peter and Paul Church.  Burial in Allouez Cemetery.
